This house is really nice. Simple, clean, spacious. I can take my hoplite army or other NPCs into it. Well, good job, me give endorsements. This mod, I highly recommend to other Dovahkins.
This is good, I like it so far, but... well, I'm running into an issue. The kegs outside, if used, make everyone immediately hostile. I can just not use the kegs, but I'd rather own the stuff that's on my property, ya know? For whatever reason even a console command of "setownership" on them doesn't seem to work. Ideas?
Other than that, great work! I've always wanted a reason to hang around Riverwood longer than the beginning of the game. Now I have one.
I just had a thought, I have Dynamic Things installed, so maybe that's causing an issue? I play with it so often I forget that you can't normally use the kegs. I'll just do a little testing on my own to see if I can fix this.
Yeah, so I can't figure out a way to make it stay set that I own them, so I've just set them as mine, looted, then marked for delete and disabled. It's cool, I wanted the space for chests anyway.
Also, I gotta say, I have a secret room in my house, that leads to a cave, that has a waterfall and an exit away from the town? I'm friggin BatDovah over here. Awesome!
This house is wicked, man. I love the little secrets, the lighting -- but mostly the secrets. Seriously, I love houses that have hidden goodies and the fact that this one is right in the heart of Riverwood makes it one of my favorites.
The house itself, while not overly 'grand' on the exterior, has a nice 'cozy' feel to it. It looks quite normal like any other house, until you get downstairs....that's where the fun really starts.
Not going to spoil it for anyone downloading this or trying it out, but imo it's a nice addition to the Riverwood area for those who prefer the 'warmer' feel of the region over the cold harsh north.
Some small remarks if you're trying to improve or going to change something :
1. a bit less lighting in the sleeping area would be advisable (esp ground floor)
2. some items seem out of place. Meaning for those who start a new game, having statues and crowns you only encounter later in the game already in there wouldn't be 'logical'. So changing to some more 'regular' clutter you find in other homes would seem more immersive.
3. Adding a background story, for example getting the house+key by using a courrier who delivers a letter indicating why you get the house (inheritance...last owner died...something...)
Other then that i noticed no conflicts at all, a really nice piece of work for a ' new ' modder. I'm going to use it in all my playthroughs i think.
Thanks for the mod. It really is just the size I was looking for. Not too small and not too large. The secret area isn't very obvious so it can be "overlooked" if you're not interested in that area.
To add to what Alantor has said. -Adding a reason to own the house rather than its just unlocked. --Buying the Key from General Good store (forgot his name) or better yet the key can be given as a reward for the Golden Claw.
-There are a few touch ups that are needed. (or maybe its just my game) --The Cell isn't marked as "Interior" --Some seams are visible when you go downstairs (just behind the pillars) --The Dagger display case on the right as you walk into the secret area is clipping slightly. --The Idle marker in the front door is a little to high.
While I'm am a fan of mannequins, I think there are a little too many. Maybe half them and place display cases in their stead.
I'm really liking this cozy little place. Well done and keep up the good work. Endorsed.
