Atvir is arguably one of the best user-created, custom voiced, standalone male companions available. Unfortunately, the creator of Atvir is no longer updating Atvir. Many small issues have developed between Atvirs latest update (July 2012) and March 2014.

After fielding a few questions about the state of Atvir, I decided to take it upon myself to bring Atvir up to date.

Here is my humble efforts. Hopefully this little update will help someone out. And who knows what the future may bring.

Installation:Manual install only-sorry I can not support other installations.

1) download the lastest version of Atvir Dres - The Last Prince of Tear from: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19348/

2)Open archive and select atvir.bsa and (the entire) scripts folder-and these two items only!

3)Install atvir.bsa and scripts folder to Steam/SteamApps/common/skyrim/Data

4)drag contents of Atvir Dres - updated for 1.9.32.0.8 to same location. It shouldn't ask to overwrite anything unless you have a previous version of Atvir installed

5)activate and enjoy your excellent Dumner companion!

Uninstallation:baby eater.....

delete atvir.esp, atvir.bsa, meshes/actors/character/facegendata/facegenom/atvir.esp, textures/actors/characters/facegendata/facetint/atvir.esp and within your script folder, anything with JF_ heading (best to use the search function)

Change Log:Atvir's esp is now cleaned with tes5edit-no more "dirty" edits.

Atvir once again has facegen-squashed the grey face bug.

Atvir now has a seq file, so he is no longer plaqued by the dialogue bug.

I also switched his beard to one that fit his face better, so no more issues with bare chin if using eeo. Per my tastes, I created a second version with a knotted beard and ponytail-like the dark brotherhood loading screen.

Known Issues:Atvir Dres may cause uncontrollable bouts of laughter, or great discomfort, use at your discretion.

Q. It say Atvir is an Alpha release, will this destroy my game?

A. I can't promise you anything, but I've used Atvir since his first release and never experienced any trouble.

Q. How incomplete is Atvir, anyway?

A. He is nowhere as complete as Janus wanted him to be, but he is fully functional. He will not feel 'unfinished' if you play with him.
