Downloaded this mod a few days ago for a game a recently started with Faendal as a follower. Much better than game Faendal at archery and combat. I have noticed spell effects showing up when he is using a bow (sparks at one time, now brief paralysis). Is this an intentional undocumented feature? I don't mind just took me by surprise. I also feel there is better synergy in combat than previously. Also, you might add a note in documentation that unlike game Faendal, that this version prefers light armor and will reject heavy armor even if it better than his hunting furs.
My favourite mod, and the one I'd choose if I was only allowed to have one. I wish I could get him out of his clothes though, he looks a bit silly sitting in a bathhouse in his furs </3
EDIT: I hadn't realised I was looking at him with the grey face fault, I thought that was his normal appearance. I didn't realise he has a face tattoo until I saw the screenshot here. Wow. Guess I'll be downloading this version to see what he really looks like =^.^=
Faendal looks great! Only problem is, if i run BOSS, he defaults to the old Faendal... if I manually move him to the bottom of the load order, the Cool Faendal shows back up. Any idea on what might be overwriting him at his regular load order place?
He's not being overwritten. It's the load order. BOSS specifically was moving the ESP for this particular mod in a place that allowed another mod you have to get priority, which placed him back to default. The easiest way to fix it (which is just masking it) is to move the ESP of this mod below whatever mod that is forcing him to go back to the old look. However, the best way to fix it is to find out what mod that is, and either remove it, or open it in TES5Edit and remove it's edits to Faendal specifically. Once you've done that, save it and it'll be fixed for good - and the load order will no longer matter. However, I recommend you use LOOT instead of BOSS. Also just to make sure you've got everything setup just right - follow this guide: Speed and Stability Guide.
So I have a mod conflict with immersive Riverwood. If Faendal and Immersive Riverwood are both activated, Faendal attacks invisible enemies, then after awhile of that he fights Alvor. As both are protected neither dies
