Just to make it glaringly obvious for the overly-careful player, I assume that since you DIDN'T change the first word of Fire Breath, encountering Paarthurnax is completely functional?
Just want to make sure that you don't mean "See Paarthurnax before installing this mod."
Yes, encountering Paarthurnax is completely functional and yes it is why i did not alter the first word as that first word is hard coded for the Paarthurnax encounter, though it is important to remember, if you have already learned 2 of the 3 when you encounter Paarthurnax, you must only use the first word or he will attack you, not that this is any different to how he would react in such a case even without the mod. For the record i do plan on releasing an alternative version for those with compatability issues with other mods, though i cannot guarintee compatability with all mods. However for moast cases this one is fina as is.
i noticed that when i had this mod installed and met paarthurnax for the first time i for some reason couldnt advance when i hit him with the fire breath shout. uninstalled the mod and it worked just fine
It is important when you meet paarthurnax for the first time, if you have already learned two of the fire words that you only use the first word, the first word is a trigger for paarthurnax and if it is edited you cannot advance the stage with him or of you use words two or 3 you will also not be able to advance the stage.
Gives me a reason to use frost breath for once. I always found it underpowerd. Now if I could just avoid killing my allies with it. Oh by the way, the stormcall one doesn't work for some reason. It's still lightning for me. But the others work fine.
Um actually. It works fine. Woops. I didn't realize it ONLY effected the third word. Sorry about that. But never the less, I may have to not use the mod because of it. I have the stormwrath mod installed. Check it out to see what it does. It may work with this one, but given the nature of the mod, I doubt it.
I seems that after a while the shouts are useless on dragons........bummer. it works great on humanoids and non dragon baddies but not dragons. Hope u can fix this. I also think it has something to do with as is. So I'm heading over to the page now to see what info I can gather.
I will try to look into this, however, when testing it, i was not using any other mods at all, so i will check again without any mods, if it works fine like that, then the next step would be to find what mod may cause conflict. (It may be worth noting that some dragons may be immune to fire, frost etc.).
And thank you, without peoples comments on possible faults, i would be unaware of any possible faults, so thank you again.
Having played about for a while using deadly dragons with this, due to dragons natural resistance to their own shouts, i noticed that it is not until you learn the third word of fire or frost that you make significant impact on the dragons with the shouts, incidentally i highly recommend deadly dragons and BSF Effects with this mod, placing this mod last in your load order. I don't use ASIS so can't comment on its effects. Hope this helps.
Will it have an effect on magic? I have on of these already, and using it will occasionally increase my destruction magic, which I don't want because I don't play a mage. Ever. Not even once.
No, other than how the shout looks when you shout, no perks, no enhancements or enchantments, pure vanilla. This to me, is keeping the original balance and also keeping it light weight i.e. zero impact once loaded on the games resources used.
