Been using this mod now for quite some time on a few characters and I completely forgot about it, it just fits so perfectly in with the game and makes magic feel like it was supposed to. Just wanted to say thanks for this, it really deserves some more endorsements.
Hi, I like your mod a lot. It has few changes made, but changes made, in all the right places.
I do have a question about Ice Magic. It seems like I can get slowed to a pulp, but cant do the same to others. I was wondering if you had any suggestions that would remedy this "stacking to a snails pace" issue.
Im wondering if you have any plans in the future also for this mod. Or any others.
I play and mod Skyrim very much on-and-off, but I do have a mod in the works that spices up mage-oriented unique gear with the same philosophy as this one.
This is exactly the kind of lightweight magic rebalance mod I've been looking for. Does only what is neccessary without changing the vanilla experience too much. Thanks!
sure i follow your mod because is interesting ! i have played so many hours of skyrim with so many magic mods and for me the best mod in terms of balance with no major change on spell is balanced magic by mysty ( i have played all school of magic, all good balanced !!! ) I dont like mods that change hard the vanilla spell or add 1123 new spell because i think vanilla spell are good but i try mighty magic, empowered magic etc and they change so many things and they are not so well balanced at low or high level. The only thing not good on mysty mod is the mod is outdate and abandoned with 3-4 little bug and no support for dawnguard spell and dragonborne. Maybe you can inspire from this mod or do a remade i dont know is your choice but i thing they are good idea on mysty mod for yours mod
If you inspire on mysty mod or not at all, in all case i follow your mods with attention ( because i like the change you made ) and encourage you. see ya ! ps : sorry for my bad english i never learn it xD, only with video games :p
You won't notice anything, since these changes are primarily with perks (npcs rarely have perks) and magicka costs. Maybe npc mages will cast for a little longer, but I don't notice anything.
I assume you refer to the beforementioned mod that I'm planning? Sure, but it all depends on wether I can work it out without scripts and stuff, I prefer to keep my mods as clean as possible.
Just a suggestion, but the perks adding to damage and decreasing costs might be a little bit OP, would it not make for for more balanced destruction if the augmented flames/frost/shock had four ranks instead: viable late game spell damage, but at a cost? As I say, just an idle suggestion, feel free to ignore completely.
Maybe, but I'm not sure I like how many perk points that would require, as I myself don't like to specialize in just one element. It's something to consider though, needs some more testing before I know for sure if the balancing is pristine. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this, its something ive been looking for, a simple destruction mod, finally I will be able to play as a mage past Expert difficulty. However... a few suggestions. Could you add a Scaling system to this? Like how scaling for 1 handed and 2 handed works. Also.. could you make the new stagger perk a 25% reduced cost? So I can use something else instead of that 4th 25% reduced Destruction cost enchantment.
The scaling system you describe was one of the parts I didn't like with some of the other magic overhauls. I think the way it is now is balanced enough. And I will certainly not increase the stagger replacement by another 5%, as I am still weighing wether 20% is too much.
But thanks alot for taking the time to give me feedback and endorse! I really appreciate that
i didn't like the other magic balance mods, i like my Skyrim close to vanilla with more items and fixes, no umbalance mods, crappy ENBs and women looking like hookers... so this mod is just what i need, because above expert difficulty it sucks to play with magic. it works well and it´s simple, great mod.

Affect also the npc magic?

Thanks again and endorsed!
