    help anyone i started this mod fresh with a new game and now i cant get the main quest to activate i have been to helgen and to riverwood spoke to everyone and to the jarl of whiterun and i cant get i to work pls help////....

    I suggest noble of all other towns and owner of the respective house, so You can freely choose where to start an live.

    My notes from using this in SE years ago:

    Some tips for this mod:
    You need to get this mod into it's cycle. I think you need to exit Helgen before activating this mod. I also think you need to go to the Hall Of Beginnings to start the cycle. You can type COC HallOfBeginning and see if that starts the cycle by just playing and dying. If I remember correctly you can have the lady or the reapers send you. If the sage at the hall does nothing make a save then load it. I don't think you can ever start a new game with this active. If this mod is not in cycle scripts will not run I think. Add the footprint mod. If you do not see footprints then Hall of Beginnings is not in cycle. If you see footprints your game should be ready.

    1 exit Helgen.
    2 activate mod.
    3 coc hallofbeginnings.
    4 save then load.
    5 go play and die to test.

    I made a bunch of changes in this and used it for over a year with Skyrim Special Edition issue free. There are no records in this that need to be changed to form 44 for SE. If you look in SE you will see forms like 16, 34, and many others. Changing forms in the CK was always risky and often made issues after some use. There is only a small list of record types that were changed for SE and it is not "better to be safe" and recompile form 43 mods that do not have these. Do your research, do your testing, make backups, and only accept what has proof.

    Hopefully someone knows this. I began a new character using this mod, chose to be lethal assassin, started me off inside the home in Windhelm that the boy is doing the Black Sacrament, which you can't leave without using a console command to unlock the door since you don't start with lock picks and it's locked. But how do I begin the dragonborn quest line. I can't own a home in Whiterun without that quest line. The old one I used, Alternate Start (that is now deleted) would have a note in Helgen you would read to begin it. What do

      It has been a long time since I used this. I think you need to start without the mod, exit helgen, and start the main quest prior to installing this mod. Maybe start the civil war quests too. Mostly I think the mod intends for you to not be dragon born but more a freelance player. Player home mods are an option. This was one of the mods I enjoyed most but I was playing as me in Skyrim with lots of new dungeon mods, new area mods, and not doing any quests and not using followers and absolutely no leveling or level scaling.

    Probably there wont be a fix for this bug, but better I report anyway.
    Having your character get knocked out in Apocrypha counts as if the character has died to the mod.
    And if your character died while having the debuff of darkness from Apocrypha, your character can keep dying over and over if you refuse to revive, beside I don't know what happens if you go to the hall of the begginings.

      Adding an extra note here:
      Dying as a Werewolf can cause in some ridiculous bugs related to this mod, even more if you can revert your character.

    Starting a game from scratch with this as the only mod, it works just fine as of 4/27/2020.

    If you start a game without the mod running and then load it afterwards (for whatever reason), it will initially not work correctly. I was able to force it to work by using 'coc hallofbeginnings', talking to the Sage and starting a new life, which got the Sagehallofbeginningsquest to advance to stage 2.00. Afterwards, though, dying just forced a reload. I then used 'setstage Sagehallofbeginningsquest 10' and 'coc hallofbeginnings' to force the quest to advance to the "you have died" stage and relocated my character to the hall to talk to the Sage, at which point the quest picked up normally and was able to advance (to stage 12.00, the "after dying" stage) without any issues. Once a new tome was chosen and I went back into Skyrim, I tested dying several times and it kicked off the death choice menu correctly every time, even when I died five times in a row (first using a Potion of Revive, then prying to the Divines). Also tested turning into a ghost and it worked without any issues. Keep in mind that I also saved/loaded and exited to the desktop/restarted Skyrim several times over the course of that, so it may or may not be necessary to do so. Best bet would be to try to start the game with the mod running.
