Great mod! Please, can you search through the console for page up/page down scrolling? I'm using notebook and it hasn't standart pgup/pgdown buttons, just num analogs. And they don't work.(I know about variant with using usb keyboard but it's too uncomfortable for me.) Please, try to change pgup/pgdown for some other buttons. PS Excuse me if my english today is bad, I'm from not english-speaking country, and I learned it by myself, so...
Necro i guess. I am on a gaming laptop and have the same issue, but i want to use the numpad for numbers so i won't be doing this.. Here is a quote from UESP "The Console key can also be remapped by editing the file located in Data\Interface\Controls\PC\ControlMap.txt. By default the Console key is assigned the value 0x29 (DIK_GRAVE), changing to 0xb8 will assign it to the "Right Alt" key (DIK_RMENU). See a Direct Input Key (DIK) Code Table for other keys." It's on the standard Skyrim Console page found on UESP, Not sure if links are ok but i'm not really fussed https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console#Accessing_the_Console_with_Non-English_Keyboards It's at the end of this section. Not many english keyboard users bother reading that bit.
Endorsed! Great mod for console. Would it be possible to release a 85% transparency version for MFG Console? I mean all the backgrounds, not only the bottom big ones... thanks!
Here's a really stupid question: How on earth did you get your console to look like that in screenshot 3? I had mine like that once, but after I had to reinstall most of my mods and uninstall a good deal of others, I lost that interface It's bothering me to no end.
How do you change the colors of the text with this? I have literally been trying to figure it out for an hour or two now and can't figure it out, can anyone explain this to me?
You will have to add a [Menu] section to your Skyrim.ini file. (Found in your Documents/My Games/Skyrim) There is an example [Menu] section in mod description so you can just use that.
Ahh, ok thats much simpler than I was making it, thanks for the quick reply. *EDIT* I cant get it to work by putting it in the files, is there a specific place I should put it?
I will try to help, but there are several possibilities why it would not work. For example:
1. Depending on your system, you might not have write permission to Skyrim.ini file. 2. You have saved the file as Skyrim.ini.txt which doesn't work. 3. You might have written the section into SkyrimPrefs.ini which doesn't work.
If you want advice:
Get notepad++ Open your Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrim.ini with notepad++ Add [Menu] near the end of file. I write the [Menu] right after [Archive] section, this seems to work. Next, save the file as Skyrim.ini (not Skyrim.ini.txt)
It replaces console.swf so it will conflict with any other mod that does the same. You could ask the mod author for solid background, or decompile yourself, it's just a 2 digit modification really.
I'm using that mod too, so I won't be using this one, I don't really mind the console being transparent, but I will say thank you for reminding me about those .ini tweaks.
Allright, since mfg console seems popular, I have now hexed mfg console.swf as well as default one. The author has written it's ok to mod his file so I guess I'm allowed to do that. You can find the fix for mfg console under optional files.
I have MFG Console, so I tried that version. For some reason the history text only shows up as Square Boxes instead of readable text. The command line appears correctly.
Look, I'm no flash designer, I don't even have flash player installed. I just decompile, hex the 00 into ff and then repack the swf. This works for default console. I'll just remove the mfg version until I figure out what's wrong with it.
I might have fixed that with v0.3 (reverted the fonts to mfg default and only changed Id="17") However, the file still contains japanese characters and some other stuff I probably shouldn't touch.
I had tried to fix this above and no go, changing the font that shows up correctly works, changing the cubes doesn't. Contacting kapaer and asking him to provide a solid black version might be your best bet. Because: 1. He's got source, and he's probably got flash dev tools, I got neither. 2. He's marked some lines in japanese, which I don't understand.

Updated main file since I got rid of gradient, 0.2 is now clean cut.
But how can i install this mod without overwriting this?

File's up for testing, so let me know if something breaks.
