am i the only one who still hears the old sheathing sound playing alongside the new magic sound (most noticable with the waraxe)? still trying to get this to work for my own setup, but the bound weapon sounds just keep getting more confusing the longer i try.

I'm assuming they use a script which unequips/removes the bound weapon when you sheathe them which triggers the generic unequip sound that's attached to the weapon. This isn't the sheathing sound it's the one you hear when you press the hotkey of a weapon while your hands are lowered.

whatever it is i seem not to be able to disable it anywhere.

It would be cool if you could change the sheath animation for bound weapons to the same as lower hands for other spells, plus this mod, and bound weapons would be fixed imo.

      I'm pretty sure that's impossible.

that's an interesting mod. thanks for that.
i wonder though: why did you use the unused sound "magconjureboundweaponappear"?
in vanilla the bound weapons have the "magconjuredrawsheathlpmsd" soud attached to their enchantment.
i'll need to test these later myself, to see how each of them sounds on their own. but i guess the weapons do already have a conjuration sheath sound. maybe it would have been enough to just disable the other sheath sound, so the enchantment's sheath sound would be featured exclusivelly. did you give this a try?

i'm mostly asking, because i would like to use your idea for my own mod Bound Armory, if you allow me to.

magconjuredrawsheathlpmsd is only used for the spell (when you lower/raise your hands) I think that's the one I tried out first. magconjureboundweaponappear is used in combination with the generic unsheathing sound when you cast the spell.

      Sure!

ok, i managed to make the custom bound weapons from bound armor behave the way i want them to. you are right, the bound weapons use the boundweaponappear sound when cast (and now when sheathed, thanks to you). i have no idea why, tho. the sound descriptor is not referenced anywhere i can find. do you know where it is referenced?
currently i have problems with the vanille weapons. e.g. the DB dagger does not have any casting sound (that is: the sound that is played as long as you hold down the cast button) in third person. it plays fine in 1s person. the sound also plays fine in first and third person for all vanilla weapons. wtf? i'm lost. this does not make sense at all

No, sorry didn't look into that at all I was just looking for a sound that would fit and stumbled upon that one. ^^
Also no idea with the Dragonborn dagger, could be a vanilla bug? I feel sometimes myself though like the Creation Kit was coded by Sheogorath himself.

      i can agree to that.
i'll postpone my own update until i can find out whether this is a vanilla bug and whether this can be fixed.
my custom weapons are working propperly, so i can thank you for that already (in fact it seems everything except for the dagger has no issues). i'm not someone to pay much attention to sound, so i would never have noticed without your mod.

I agree. We definitely need a clip for this.
