This would be a damn amazing mount if it ever came to it. Edit: This is pretty original. It's cool to find at least a concept of something that isn't a bodyslide preset or a non-voiced NPC.
And here I am, two years later. As a fellow modder, I will do my best to recreate Kalameet. NOTES: It will take a lot of time to rebuild the model, because it is not like the others. P.S: For the others, use the ''Kalameet Wannabe Odaviing Replace'' mod and ''Flyable Dragon Race REVAMPED'' mod From there use the menu to change yourself with Odaviing and boom, You can play as your favorite dragon
I don't know if anyone is still keeping up with this, but I would love to see these beasts flying around Skyrim! ...Unfortunately I have no idea how to create what you need But please don't give up!
Call me a foul, but I've just thought of this... That resource could be used to make Nafaalilargus! ._. Just imagine that... The Proud Jewel of Imperial Crown coming back to serve dragonborn as ally! Unique red dragon at your command!
Haven't looked at the .nif myself, but try making the scale MUCH bigger/ smaller (as in 100x smaller/ bigger than the 1.0 scale default, or more) by right-clicking the main block in the block list (scale is found in the transform-edit popup). 'Cause the dragon might be much smaller/ larger (usually smaller) than Bethesda's meshes.
Only bringing this up because most of my mesh conversions need to be scaled up in size considerably (for example, a mesh replacement for trout needed to be set to 164.something to match vanilla size). As weird as it sounds, scaling doesn't affect the quality, just the size.
1- Meshes need to be rigged in 3dmx to a skeleton of the game,(in nifskope you see it as NiNode bones) dragon vanilla skeletons don't have 4 legs. You must create custom skeleton for this aaaand the CK won't read it (only as custom race). So need to adapt to vanilla. That is cut 2 front legs from mesh. exml bones http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2012/15/1334443125-bugtexture.png 2 - Then its possible to copy BSLightningShaderProperty from other dragon nifs and choose your textures/ normal map must be _n.dds for the shader flag 3- you can try to copy skin from original meshes of the dragon in 3dmx , but your mesh must be 1 to 1 in position on the original dragon. all that time consuming and really hard if you are novice in it.Just drop it or remake old dragons with new details and stuff.
In anycase this looks good, can't wait to see it when it's finished, and if it is Kalameet from Dark Souls I hope you decide to make him just as difficult. =)
Yeah, by the way I wonder why the more awesome boss as the easiest, sif, kalameet or priscilla were my favorite boss battles and they were all really easy in my opinion.
Ok there is one exception : this damn artorias look awesome but is also one of the hardest I think, really aggressive, high damages and a lot of movesets, some unparriable attacks and some attacks that breaks rolls.
But appart from that I think anyway most boss as easier than the level you need to do to get to them, cause the level design is really what made this game hard (and troll... just looking at the crystal cave where you just can go straight forward while you was searching for a pass since hours xD)
nifs look nice but not only would you have to refix them for the correct properties to allow skyrim for import, but texturing would be a job too AND you would need entirely custom animations considering you are working with extra limbs on the skeleton.
I knew it would be a lot of work going in - the textures and animations I can do on my end, I just need help with nifskope. I'm not familiar with it at all.
