The real question is Why would you put banners and great blazing beacons outside your 'hideout'?
Please don't take that the wrong way, I like the idea of this mod a lot, if you're going the imperial route having a safe base for spying on the stormcloaks is great! And your follower Argol looks nice. I like that he's in the Whiterun Guard armor. The inside of the house looks comfortable and practical. It's so hard to find home mods that don't have ridiculously vast store-rooms with armies of mannequins or resized dibella statues around every corner (I do love crazy mansions sometimes, but for 'realistic' and more survivalism/gritty characters they just don't work). So a house like this really is a breath of fresh air! The only thing I'd really want changed would be a more discrete entrance, something more along the lines of the door to the underforge, well maybe not That disguised, but something that blends in with the mountainside a bit more so it's less conspicuous. Whiterun banners on the Inside would be a nice touch though.
(P.S. and if you're up to doing options, it could be nice to be able to select from other hold themes - by simply switching out the banners and guard armor for ones from the other holds that start out imperial: Solitude, Markarth, Morthal, and Falkreath, just a thought.)
Why nobody get it that is a HIDE out not a normal LIVING PLACE. Is supposed to hide spies (you thane) because Whiterun is not allied to Winterhold 100%, did you all forgot civil war story? I like the idea, downloading and testing it.
It's a cool idea and all but if you were the Thane of Whiterun why would you want the hideout to be all the way by Windhelm O_o lol. I know It's your mod and all but I have an idea what if you make it so when you become a thane of all the city's you get this hideout make it bigger and nicer and stick it in the middleish of Skyrim (:
Its in Windelm because The Thane would not need a hideout near to Whiterun, would he? Good idea, but I'll only move the house, if you can give some good suggestions for locations, tell me if you want too.
