Can someone explain to me why in the vanilla some of the vampires have this distorted face? I mean, does it change something in the lore? It's a peculiarity of the eldest vampires or something related to vampirism stages?
If you still care, I'll attempt to answer this to the best of my ability. There isn't just one vampire disease on nirn. There's Porphyric Hemophilia which was Oblivion's vampire disease, since it's mostly focused around Cyrodiil and more prevalent in imperials as a result. And in Skyrim there's Sanguinare Vampriris, which I suppose is the one that includes these more drastic facial changes along with clearly glowing eyes that Porphyric Hemophilia doesn't seem to replicate, what with it being more subtle in it's changes so as to not get caught in the huge population of Cyrodiil. I suppose hinting at some kind of an evolving disease adapting to it's surroundings. And perhaps this is the reason it seems different in places even in the same province. There's also a third strand of vampire disease in Valenwood, which I cannot remember the name of. But it essentially just transforms the persons eyes to a full on black and gives them the ability to straight up devour and swallow an entire person. That's a vore kink right there. Shows brilliantly just how different they can be.
Erm... Why are you using two of my images? The first two are both of my main character. I can recognize her quite easily. Besides, her look was achieved through the race menu. The Vampire complexions are unlocked as soon as you become one. Opening up the race menu and fiddling with the complexions can easily give your character the look of the monster-faced Vampires. That's with Expired's RaceMenu, though. I don't think it would work in vanilla.
It's all right. I was just curious. I've seen my screenshots in multiple places now and I can't help but be curious each time I see them. Vulom just stood out more than the others. The moment I came online, I did a double take. "Wait... Vulom? Is that... Yes! I remember that."
I believe the redguard is my picture from my mod, so they're not all yours as im sure you are aware. I dont care if he uses my picture though ( if it even is, but it certainly looks exactly like mine) Because all along ive wanted a more skilled modder to replace my mod with a superior one that doesnt require new races.
Sir, I am the maker of the mod you got inspiration from, I am VERY happy to see you release this mod, as my hopes were that someone base an idea of my mod, or even alter my mod, to not require new races. You have fulfilled the purpose of my mod, and I will consider taking mine off the nexus as it is no longer required. I only made mine so people could look like the dawnguard vampires on the day of dawnguards release. Even I, after making my own mod, am going to upgrade to yours. Cudos, friend.
Never understood why Bethesda did this alternate faces. Why Hakon doesn't look like that? Or Serana? It would be great if someone could make sense out of this by doing what they did in Oblivion, that when you went without feeding you would look more like a monster, like in this mod.
This one, daventry: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?
The mod allows you to edit the faces of your Vampire characters (although, as a side effect of that, they will not become paler when they change). You can use it to select the Vampire complexion(s) to give your character the Vampire appearance. It's what I use to get the appearance of my Vampires.
