Hi, I also couldn't see how to remove the Master dependency when using SSEEdit.I overcame this as follows: from Skyrim.esm, Copied as New Record the record Activator > TGBlackPoolTrigger, and named it AARiftPoolActivator; same for Spell > Healing, naming it AARiftPoolSpell; I made changes to both these two records in my file to match the Bathing Suit in a Pool equivalents (except that I didn't need the AABathingSuit01 Property in the Activator VMAD, so I didn't Add it). Everything else was done according to the instructions in this mod's description.FYI, I used it to make a personal patch for Bruma's Jerall View Inn bathhouse - for immersion purposes ;-) I hope that this helps. Thanks to Jet4571 and Ac3s for the mod and the tutorial, and to ElminsterAU for SSEEdit.
wow, this is exactly what i was looking for for my mod. The tutorial is really well written, just perfect for a beginner like me! thank you so much for that!
I have two questions:
1. What would I need to change so that the NPCs also unequip weapons and ammo when changing to the outfit?
2. I already swapped the swimsuit by replacing the nifs in the armor folder. now i would like to add more outfits so i have the options of different trigger boxes enabling different outfits. I understand that I would add the nifs to a new folder and then create armor addons and armor in CK. what else would be required for that?
Hello. Thanks for letting this be a modder's resource. Do you have any idea if it would be possible to use this for a follower's dialogue (like a wardrobe option) or for AI packages?
Lol I'm glad (and subtanker will agree) that this is going around. I also agree that scripts like these should be public knowledge, I mean we have so many house mods with pools and I bet those authors wanted to add something that made their npcs undress before taking a swim as well. Unfortunately I contacted several authors that managed to implement this for their own mod, but every answer was the same "don't contact me again" or something like that, so I sat there with my Lakeview_Extended mod for several months not knowing how to accomplish this. Until...my prince in shining armor named Subtanker left a post on the forum asking people to give him some scripting work, after he created this tutorial for me it was only fair to share hes work with the rest of you guys.
Modding community is all about sharing guys, don't let that "endorsement" system make you greedy.
Without you publishing Subankers script I couldn't see how it was done and modify it for my own purposes of switching to a bathing suit instead of nude. It was a script I never would have figured out on my own like most all scripting.
There's too many mod authors who want an exclusive feature and are not willing to share in that knowledge, and that drags down the community as a whole. You shared the strip tutorial and I shared a version based off it that swaps clothes instead. I took what you had and did something different with it and shared it enriching the knowledge of the community. By not sharing new ideas and mods are held back. The more knowledge is shared the more new knowledge can be obtained.
Recently got AC3s/subtanker scripts to work, and what a great addition it is to my mod! Is it possible to modify this change bathing suit script to just change clothes? Say they can change clothes to existing vanilla clothes, say when the go to bed?
Yeah, just change the item that's added and equipped to the nightwear you want them to use then put the trigger over a bed instead of a pool. It's the same thing, you just substitute bathing suits and pools for beds and nightwear. You could do a barbeque cook outfit and a barbeque pit if you really wanted.
Wish I knew exactly what to do with that but, alas, I don't.
Also, I did go into your AAExample cell, and the two npcs there don't change to bathing suits when they enter the water. They go in with what they are wearing. I checked the activator and the aariftpoolactivator is attached.
Thanks for the great tutorial Jet4571! I have been struggling to add undress/redress features to my own mod and I realized scripting is beyond my ability without good tutorials. I am wondering if it's ok to publish my mod using your resources?
I just wanted to add that the two of you (Ac3s & jet4571) along with Lupus78 were very helpful in giving me advice to get my version of this script working. I know I already thanked you guys by PM, but since you're talking about this, I figured I'd chime in to let everyone know how helpful you guys were to a newb modder like myself.
How hard would it be to adapt these files so they can also get completely naked? I am making a mod that has a pool as well as a bathtub, & it would be nice if I could have them wear bathing suits at the pool, but also be able to get completely undressed when taking a bath.

I mean with SSE edit and CK64. I tried with SSE edit I can't remove master dependency.

That was in the description.
