shouldn't Restoration power per level increase the amount of health each spell heals? The Description says it reduces Magicka costs, which doesn't make sense to me.
I agree that it's a somewhat odd, and irritating in light of the damage spell provided by Dawnguard, choice, but it does make some sense from a balance perspective. Specifically while it holds true that at least under Vanilla rules all spells' costs can be made zero through (ab)use of sufficient enchantments, perks, and potions, and while it holds true that Destruction spells' damage scales, it remains that it might be a tad imbalanced if magicka increased the magnitude of Restoration spells. Consider the difference between a 200 HP/s stream of fire and stream of healing. The former makes you difficult to kill while the latter would likely make you damn near impossible to kill, especially if both were cost-free.
Personally speaking, I'd have been tempted to come up with some category-specific rules and then implemented spell-specific rules for the Vanilla set. That way it retains functionality for new spells added via mods while allowing things like the undead-damaging spell introduced in Dawnguard to work a bit differently.
As I commented to Drullo, this appears compatible with Skyre, so far. (we all know how temperamental... or just plain mental the skyrim engine is) And Skyre already has the Brawl bug installed. I think many of the other major overhauls do too. just a thought.
Drulla, I do have a question - If I have my magicka set to advance 25points per level, does that mean that each level the spells will increase 2x? or does the mod simply register 1 increase for the level?
The sliders for Magicka in the menue just tell the script how it shall calculate the amount of power ups.
So in your case (don't know if i understand it correctly): Case A) - You gain 25 magicka points per level - You didnt change the "magicka per level" (default = 10)? => Then you would gain 2,5x the amount of powerups you usually get
Case B) - You gain 10 magicka points per level - You changed the "magicka per level" to 25 => Then you would gain 2/5x the amount of powerups you usually get
Case C) - You gain 10 magicka points per level - You changed the "magicka per level" to 25 => You gain one powerup (2,5% per default or more/less if adjustet) per level
Not everyone plays default vanilla Skyrim, therefore there are the sliders which let you manually adjust those values
Hello, this is a great mod. However, brawls don't work with this mod activated. Can deactivating before the brawl and reactivating it after cause any problems? If not, could you please add this tip in the mod description and/or in the on/off button description from the MCM? Are you using a hidden spell to increase spell power? If so, is there any way of deactivating that spell during a brawl?
