@Bifteki I love that he can join me while I traverse a cave full of vampires or a bandit fort double the amount of slaughter double the fun! Also can't wait for the backstory quest, it would make this little guy my favorite companion.

After thinking awhile about my suggestion of having the follower teach the Dragonborn how to transform into a dragon, i realize this could be pretty complicated to do, specially if you were to allow us to fly in the dragon form. your idea of making him ridable tho seems equally awesome to me, thatd be pretty class
Really like what you've done with the human transformation ! There's just this tiny issue where sometimes well... He doesn't transform ! Don't get me wrong, it's pretty epic when he tries to come in the Dev Aveza even if the cabin is almost his own size, but still kind of impractical ahaha
I'd also love the option to ask him if he should just keep flying or follow me on foot. When travelling, the sound of his footsteps can get a little monotonous, plus there is this problem where he ignores stairs or slopes and goes right through them. I thought he was already doing that and I went all sad face when I saw him staying on the ground while I was flying away on the skyship. (I kinda want to turn him into a flying guardian for the Aveza to get some major airborne dragon slaying battles)

Yeah, I know about the footstep problem. I think I should tone down his footsteps by a bit. Following you aerially when there's no combat is going to be quite the tricky thing to script, so, I'll need to think about how I can do it!

For some reason faallokaar walks in the air and clips through the floor when following me. is this an issue with the mod or an issue on my side? if it is an issue with the mod then i dont think it can be fixed unless faallokaar is made into the size of a normal dragon. im pretty sure modifying the size of a dragon (in this case to make him smaller) will cause clipping issues and AFAIK there is no way of fixing that. other than that, very nice work on this mod!

He's amazing but sometimes he crashes the game when he starts to fly or when I use Land Faallokaar so I tend to keep him in human mode. Why does it keep crashing, and where does he go when you dismiss him?
how about making faallokaar following you by flying around you it can be a solution about the dragon air walker because it can be really annoying, and i'm wondering if you can restrict some area to faallokaar (for an example a way that is too small to faallokaar to allow him to pass ) maybe force him to fly in some area like a mountainous ground or on water

Making a dragon follower is an awersome idea, but there is lot a work to make it much better to make it like an Odahviing or a Durnehviir with extra command like carrying burden, executing orders in human/dragon form
-In human form he can pretty much doing everything that a normal follower can do (carrying burdens, taking/stealing, killing, mining etc...)
-In dragon form he can only kill a specific person or ride him (maybe ?) and still carrying your burdens
Finally i want to know if it's possible to make faallokaar automatically change into his human appearance when approaching civilisations because it's almost weird that humans don't give a damn about a dragon walking in city and following the dragonborn

Just installed this mod. I can't seem to get Faallokaar to use his breath attack. He flies around and hovers over the enemy but never breathes on them. Any idea what could cause this?
Is it at all possible to make it so Faallokaar's fire/ice shout doesn't harm the player? I have died a lot because he decided to use his shout while I was standing right in front of him. I do realize that I could move out of the way while I'm in front of him but sometimes I don't realize he's behind me because I'm too busy hacking and slashing all who oppose me.
I've also had a bug with him that started fairly recently where all his limbs kind of tuck up inside his body to where he just looks like a mess of wyvern parts moving across the ground. His limbs do fix themselves after a bit but only for a few seconds and then he's back to being all crazy looking.
But all-in-all this is a great mod! Keep up the good work!
very well made mod! though sometimes when in a city, his limbs are backwards and upside-down. he also tend to clips through the ground when crawling in combat. and one last thing is that when he teleports to you, he gets you stuck :L. other than that awesome mod.

Everyone, We need to spam this reply. He may have messed somthing up with 2.0. Because if you look on his user page - posts, there are TONS of people saying theres a glitch where when he takes flight that they crash. Seriously someone needs to find out whats wrong
Maybe you could like maybe make his hair like vibrant blue when he is human like in Fo version and flaming red in Yol version? Just an idea. Also, I cannot make him my follower and I have no other follower mods installed. How do I fix this?
ADD A QUEST MARKER!! I lost him and couldnt find him anywhere so i decided to just reinstall the mod to have him in dragon bridge right.. sooo now i find him there but after he introduces himself I have no way of telling him to follow me i tried unistalling UFO and back but i cant ask him to follow me hope the next update fixes both issues. He is incredible! Great idea and great realization! Humanizing shout is a great idea *_* I chose YOL version, because my current character is pyromaniac and they look stunning together. As about suggestions, they will be all the same: tracking quest, "Call" spell (once he got stuck between three stones in marsh near Morthal, and I used Nausicaa's mod (mod about following distances and movetoplayer features) to help him...) and more customized human version. Also, maybe it will be possible to have an option to speak Dragon with him? Maybe some language lessons from this incredible follower? I mean, we can shout, after some playing time many can even understand some words, but we do not have opportunity to speak Dragon... Krosis, indeed.
I'm really enjoying the mod however I think the next update needs to be big... more substantial, and certainly include a load of bug fixes. -mainly, when Faallokaar is following the player through an interior area whilst in human form. Is it just me, or dose he teleport to the player whilst inside? I cant get him to move when I'm in a cave or dungeon, but he then suddenly appears when I'm in combat only to remain idle and fire arrows...?? His path finding needs some serious work.
I also encountered a rather annoying glitch whilst he was in human form following me through a dragur infested dungeon; for some reason when in combat if the foe moves off (presumably out of range of his arrows) Faallokaar will vanish into thin air then suddenly a jet of flame will engulf the particular enemy whilst the sound of a dragon breathing fire plays (the game is getting confused with Faallokaar's form maybe?) as a result of this glitch the sound then loops endlessly, cutting out just before it should stop whilst playing continually where ever he is until I leave the area (loading screens fix the sound bug...?)
And in dragon form, he is VERY slow following me across the terrain, occasionally getting stuck in the air and generally getting caught on or blocked by obstacles. Maybe it is better to only have him on the ground when it is appropriate (Flat or gentle land), and maybe have him take off and circle you from above when you are travelling? -just a suggestion.
Bugs I've so far encountered:
while transforming Faallokaar (to either human or dragon), If an enemy suddenly appears on the compass or anything occurs which would cause combat to be entered, the game ALLWAYS crashes. -please fix asap (its really annoying when this catches you out)
in dungeons and caves Faallokaar (while in human form) struggles to accurately follow the player (usually resorting to teleporting or simply not moving beyond a certain point.
when in combat, Faallokaar (in human form) refuses to move. He just stands their firing arrows on the spot or simply dong nothing at all if no target is within range. (which is not very helpful of a follower npc)
Most annoying of all, Faallokaar can kill the player! If you're in the way of an enemy he is trying to kill, he will hit you with his arrows or worse still, roar flame (or ice depending on the mod version) -even when in human form, causing the player to take massive damage! (certainly at lower levels) The number of times I've been killed (or nearly killed) by Faallokaar just because I was in between him and his target... (please do something about this)
But yes, to summarize: Make the next update big and ambitious Include lots of bug fixes!
Other than being troubled by bugs, this mod is a joy to use! Thank you! I look forward to new updates and what may eventually become of this mod.

IDEA: Make his human form a blue or red argonian with animated dragon wings attached to make him look more dragon-like even in human form. Awesome mod!
I know there was a previous comment about having him fly with you when not in combat, but really, even just doing the teleporting thing that regular followers do would be great. So he's not waaaay far behind when I'm riding a horse or running around.
By the way this an AWESOME MOD. I love my little dragon.
well i'll admit that i found out about this mod just recently and since i don't have much free time cause of work, i tried it out today.. first of all let me say that it's an awesome mod i loved it immediately and you did a great job!!! i really REALLY wanted to try it but i can't make it work... i installed it with the nexus, i got the quest, but when i speak to him ot the bridge nothing happens. he just introduces himself to me and that's the end. i can't interact with him at all and he doesn't follow me! i don't know i may be a little stupid... pls i really like it and i wanna install it right. any suggestions?
Great mod, I'm loving the new follower as I was looking for a dragon companion. Faallokaar is an awesome dragon and defiantly one of my favorite follower mods.
If he is getting a quest on finding him, could I suggest that you should start this quest after meeting Paarthurnax as you as the dragonborn do not know dragons can be good until you meet him.
An idea on a story for Faallokaar is that you find the missing tablet piece off Paarthurnax's word wall and when you read it, you learn Faal, his first word, and you have to delve into a dungeon learning the rest of his name. Then either you can just summon him and he will arrive and ask to follow you, or you could do something like free him from a dwemer enclosure (Maybe they caught him and were studying him before they disappeared?). This also opens up a way to call on him if you let him leave your side, instead of treading back to Dragonsbridge (I suggest moving him to The Throat Of The World). Anyway, just an idea but you do what you want to, I will love it anyway!
If possible, could you please fix the bug where he walks into the ground? I don't know how hard it is but it is a bit immersion breaking, turning around and seeing your dragons tail out of the ground.
Also an idea about riding him, as he is small do you think you could make it so your lying belly down to ride him, maybe include a saddle? That would be awesome!
Anyway, great mod and can't wait to see how it turns out.
I really like this follower. Fallokar is a real companion for a dragonborn. I like the option to transform him into human but ebony armor.... i don't know. Where did he get that one. More fitting would be Dragonskale armor (perhaps with ebonystats)

My thought is, that the armor IS HIS OWN SKIN. Like he changes from dragonform to human form and in the process his dragonscales transform into the armor. You should not be able to change it though.
Every other option is brutal for him (like dragonbones... ), you are totally right about that.
Any help with the crashing when he takes off glitch? I really like this dragon and would like it if he didnt have to be human all the time cause of the glitch. Not fair to the poor dragon.
Maybe add a dialog option to have him fly and circle above until you call him back with the shout? I tend to go off exploring in difficult terrain and it is not uncommon for my followers to get stuck. Thank goodness for AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks) and I can summon them to me oncw I get to easier terrain. Anyway...just a thought.
@Bifteki amazing mod, but as a human he seems a bit disoriented. He often kind just runs in circles and zigzags then teleports to my general location. Could you maybe try to fix? Otherwise great mod very helpful

i love faalokaar but the problem i have with him is he wont follow me he will just stay in one spot in dragon bridge even when ifast travel and most of the time the follow me option isnt even there and he he wont let me dissmis him do you know what i could do.
Are you still working on this guy? If so, I have a compatibility bug for you... I use Extensible Follower Framework, and because of this... I can't have Faallokaar as a follower. The 'E' interact key is there, but clicking it does nothing :C
umm what level is he? My character is level 121 and climbing so I am looking for a dragon that can kick some serious butt and use more than 1 shout. UFO messes him up I noticed. His animation is a little off he follows too far behind me and tends to completely disappear at times. I totally love the idea of a dragon follower although I will have Miraak as a follower before its with. Thank you for the work so far since I seem to be one of like a thousand girls that plays skyrim I was royally tired of all female followers a dragon beats the sexist jokers.
@ Ninjat126 By tranformation shout you mean Fallokaar transforming, or you transforming? Fallokaar transforming into human is already an option, look into his inventory for the book with the shout. If you mean the player transforming, well there is the mod burning skies that you can look for, but dragons were never made to be used by the player, so it's pretty glitchy, but fun nevertheless.
hi, so ive run into a bit of a bug, i go to faalakaar and recruit him, but after i recruit another follower he breaks, i cant interact with him again after that, is there a way to fix this or is it just not possible to have multiple followers with him?
Guys Faallokaar is not a stable mod, and it seems Bifteki has abandoned the project. I'd just track the mod for now, and hope he returns. As you can see the last update was 9 months ago, and there's been no word from the author since.

hi i love faallokhar. the back story is great! but something happened. whenever i started a fight. when faallokhar starts to fly my skyrim stops workin! help! i really dont want to uninstall him
Now i don't know if you are still keeping track and do updates, but i have to suggest splitting the 2 different versions into 2 different dragons that can be used together, and add a Shock/Storm Dragon version. I would love to make my little Khajiit girl a "Sister of Dragons". ;-)
Hey man, so far I've really enjoyed your mod; one of my favorite followers in fact. However I've encounter some minor issues, I don't know if this has been reported before (and honestly I'm to lazy to read all posts), so here they are.
First, there seems to be some issues for him to follow me around, in and outside of dungeons or cities, sometimes I would not see him around me and then he suddenly teleports next to me, kind of like creepy Watson in that Sherlock Holmes game. And yes, I load UFO before this mod and I'm not currently using other followers, neither vanilla or modded. Second, for some reason he seems to still use his fire breath or frost breath when in human form (in and outside of dungeons/cities). I don't know if it is supposed to be like this, just saying. Also, I gave him new armor and weapons, and for some reason he doesn't equip the helmet; he equips all other armor pieces and the best weapon available like any normal follower would, except for the helmet. I don't know if Bethesda patched it, but vanilla followers have like infinite ammo, they only needed to have one arrow of the type you wanted them to use in their inventory and that's it. However, it seems that he uses ammo just like the PC would. And lastly, the weapon (sword) he uses when in human form appears to glitch in the dragon form, the weapon appears right under his dragon belly. So far I equipped him with mod's weapons and armor, I'm going to try and give him vanilla equipment, and try the arrow thing with vanilla followers, I'll come back with the results as soon as I do it.
Even with all that, it is not "game breaking" or unplayable, just makes him a bit odd. However, I would like to make a suggestion; since the only place he can follow you around as a dragon is outside, I think it would be better if he were to follow you flying around instead of walking (he is awfully slow walking as dragon), and it would be way cooler if you engaged some bandits and then he just swoops down and rains fire and ice out of nowhere, those fuckers would never expect it. I've got to say that I loved his deep voice and the fact that he actually speaks dragon, however, I it he could use a bit more fluency when speaking it. But I still loved him nonetheless.
I'm looking forward to the next update. You've done some awesome work dude, keep it up!
Why does he speak wrong? "What is it you desire me do?" What is this, a Peon from Warcraft? 10/10 if he spoke correctly. 5/10 at the moment because it's so damn annoying.
Nice mod so far. He's really a nice idea, but in my game ( Probably because i have a huge load order ) he does straange things. Like hiding in the ground, or... Well. I sent an image that's waiting your approval. To be honest for me it's funny, not annoying bug

There is a issue with the collision model of Faallokaar. When I run up a hill hes is just run into the ground and disapear. And his wings are glitching out sometimes (they are flipped around him and look like a cocoon xD). But maybe its only at me.
Very awesome i love it full endorsed!!! this will be the best amazing mod ever... as a dragon fallower ... u are amazing man only thing was that he was walking inside ground or in air... that is due to the orriginal hitbox of vanilla dragons and prealocated custom fade objects and sizes... so i made some touches and made a video with few mods i touched to make them more awesome to my taste (personal use only) and eliminated all the glitches, works perfectly like a duhneviir summon... no ground or air walk glitch and he doesnt bump just sometimes to get close to u but hey is a dragon! I hope he gets a good looking human form. Maybe his scale color as his hair color? I fell in love with his voice and dragon form immediatly, but I used a spell to undress him (pls forgive me) and he looks... weird... I still love it.

i just installed the mod and i have a bug the dragon almost all the times walk in the air or underground whenever theres a hill he just goes underground and a downhill he just flys mid air then teleports to the ground

I just found the mod, not tested yet. From what I can see the only idea i have would be to have his humanoid form be an Argonian, as he is a dragon changing his form not a man with the soul of a dragon. @Bifteki
hi would you be able to make it where he can transform on his own before innitiating combat because he is slow and i cant teleport him to my location....
after i initiate the intro dialogue he just stands there and wont follow me anywhere, no dialogue to tell him to follow me at all. any way to fix this?

while transforming Faallokaar (to either human or dragon), If an enemy suddenly appears on the compass or anything occurs which would cause combat to be entered, the game ALLWAYS crashes. -please fix asap (its really annoying when this catches you out)
in dungeons and caves Faallokaar (while in human form) struggles to accurately follow the player (usually resorting to teleporting or simply not moving beyond a certain point.
when in combat, Faallokaar (in human form) refuses to move. He just stands their firing arrows on the spot or simply dong nothing at all if no target is within range. (which is not very helpful of a follower npc)
Most annoying of all, Faallokaar can kill the player!
If you're in the way of an enemy he is trying to kill, he will hit you with his arrows or worse still, roar flame (or ice depending on the mod version) -even when in human form, causing the player to take massive damage! (certainly at lower levels)
The number of times I've been killed (or nearly killed) by Faallokaar just because I was in between him and his target...
(please do something about this)
But yes, to summarize:
Make the next update big and ambitious
Include lots of bug fixes!
Other than being troubled by bugs, this mod is a joy to use! Thank you! I look forward to new updates and what may eventually become of this mod.
Follow theese steps.
1)First uninstall the Yol mod.
2)Install Fo mod.
3)Open game. Interact with him. If there is option "Hey, i could use your help", quit game.
4)Unistall Fo mod.
5)Install Yol mod.

By the way this an AWESOME MOD. I love my little dragon.
If he is getting a quest on finding him, could I suggest that you should start this quest after meeting Paarthurnax as you as the dragonborn do not know dragons can be good until you meet him.
An idea on a story for Faallokaar is that you find the missing tablet piece off Paarthurnax's word wall and when you read it, you learn Faal, his first word, and you have to delve into a dungeon learning the rest of his name. Then either you can just summon him and he will arrive and ask to follow you, or you could do something like free him from a dwemer enclosure (Maybe they caught him and were studying him before they disappeared?). This also opens up a way to call on him if you let him leave your side, instead of treading back to Dragonsbridge (I suggest moving him to The Throat Of The World). Anyway, just an idea but you do what you want to, I will love it anyway!
If possible, could you please fix the bug where he walks into the ground? I don't know how hard it is but it is a bit immersion breaking, turning around and seeing your dragons tail out of the ground.
Also an idea about riding him, as he is small do you think you could make it so your lying belly down to ride him, maybe include a saddle? That would be awesome!
Anyway, great mod and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Don't worry about the armor, you can find end game armor in dragons all the time.
You should not be able to change it though.
Every other option is brutal for him (like dragonbones... ), you are totally right about that.
But if Fallokar would get a face, the scalearmor would be an better option then the ebony.
Anyway...just a thought.
I use Extensible Follower Framework, and because of this... I can't have Faallokaar as a follower.
The 'E' interact key is there, but clicking it does nothing :C

Fallokaar transforming into human is already an option, look into his inventory for the book with the shout.
If you mean the player transforming, well there is the mod burning skies that you can look for, but dragons were never made to be used by the player, so it's pretty glitchy, but fun nevertheless.

i like the voice files much more. the sound quality is really great.
Now i don't know if you are still keeping track and do updates, but i have to suggest splitting the 2 different versions into 2 different dragons that can be used together, and add a Shock/Storm Dragon version. I would love to make my little Khajiit girl a "Sister of Dragons". ;-)

P.S. Made this for the "female version", just seems weird to me.
First, there seems to be some issues for him to follow me around, in and outside of dungeons or cities, sometimes I would not see him around me and then he suddenly teleports next to me, kind of like creepy Watson in that Sherlock Holmes game. And yes, I load UFO before this mod and I'm not currently using other followers, neither vanilla or modded.
Second, for some reason he seems to still use his fire breath or frost breath when in human form (in and outside of dungeons/cities). I don't know if it is supposed to be like this, just saying. Also, I gave him new armor and weapons, and for some reason he doesn't equip the helmet; he equips all other armor pieces and the best weapon available like any normal follower would, except for the helmet.
I don't know if Bethesda patched it, but vanilla followers have like infinite ammo, they only needed to have one arrow of the type you wanted them to use in their inventory and that's it. However, it seems that he uses ammo just like the PC would.
And lastly, the weapon (sword) he uses when in human form appears to glitch in the dragon form, the weapon appears right under his dragon belly.
So far I equipped him with mod's weapons and armor, I'm going to try and give him vanilla equipment, and try the arrow thing with vanilla followers, I'll come back with the results as soon as I do it.
Even with all that, it is not "game breaking" or unplayable, just makes him a bit odd. However, I would like to make a suggestion; since the only place he can follow you around as a dragon is outside, I think it would be better if he were to follow you flying around instead of walking (he is awfully slow walking as dragon), and it would be way cooler if you engaged some bandits and then he just swoops down and rains fire and ice out of nowhere, those fuckers would never expect it.
I've got to say that I loved his deep voice and the fact that he actually speaks dragon, however, I it he could use a bit more fluency when speaking it. But I still loved him nonetheless.
I'm looking forward to the next update. You've done some awesome work dude, keep it up!

I am new to the modding community and I was just wondering if you were continuing to develop this mod as I have only just got a proper gaming pc and this is one of the first mods I have got and downloaded so I was just wondering if you are still developing this mod as you said 3 years ago that you were adding in a quest for him and the ability to ride him.

the dragon almost all the times walk in the air or underground
whenever theres a hill he just goes underground
