Turning all music off just to remove certain items is effectively missing the whole point of modding, which is to 'selectively' change aspects of the game and customise it to your individual tastes.
Thanks for this. I've been renaming my "specifically created for Skyrim" silent soundfile a lot to eliminate all the sounds the game insists on making but couldn't find the discovery sound because I was looking in the... well, Sounds folder. Just re-downloaded while logged in so I can endorse it as soon as I'm allowed.
...say, you don't happen to know where the odd drum-like noise that plays every time a quest updates is hiding? Edit: nvm, found it - ui_objective_new_01/02/03. Was searching for "quest", I'm obviously not good at this.
I was just starting a new playthrough with the HUD turned off and wondered what I forgot to do... then I came across a settlement and hear the "duh-duh." Thanks friend!
