I would like to thank you all for the kind words and ofc. the endorsments you gave. I hope the mod get's somehow not lost again under the big flood of new mods ^^.
Anyway big thanks for your kind words and I hope you like it.

    Some hints:
-) There are 4 torches in the library you can light up. They are between some bookshelfs.
-) Check out all spots ^^.
-) You shouldn't let the poor man hang there ^^.

You also need to optimize the meshes with Cathedral Assets Optimizer. And I don't remember if there are any scripts but you may need to unpack and repack the bsa if so. I would have to check later. You can send me a PM if you want but it's easy to learn and it's a good thing to know how to do for any other LE mod that you might want to use on SSE. I took like 15 minutes to get the hang of it and now I don't have to beg modders to port things or hold out for someone else to do it...I can just do it myself. Once in a while, you'll run into a mod with certain types of scripts that can't be as easily managed, but most of them are a few short steps and only take a minute to do.

This mod is not compatible with Windhelm Exterior Altered 2.0, since they alter the same area on the west side of the bridge along the wall.

Hello, Nahkin! I'm writing here because you cannot receive any new messages, hope you don't mind?
I like your 'Library of Windhelm' as a snug and comfy place with sorrowful story, hidden from prying eyes.

And i want to ask: is there a chance to get your permission to translate The Library of Windhelm into Russian lang for the modding community TESAll.ru? Since there are many players, who not familiar with the Nexus or have some problems with it, and who would be pleased to play with your mod. Of course, retaining all copyrights and promising to track all updates.

    Will wait for your answer!
    Best regards,
    Vitaly.

Would love if this was compatible with JK's Windhelm and perhaps Dawn of Windhelm once / if those become compatible with each other.
It's a very cute setup for a scholarly hermit to hide away in, though. (:

Hi there! Thank you for the mod. I'd like it to become a regular part of my Windhelm experience.

I don't know whether you're still working on this, but I'd like to suggest a patch to make it compatible with Windhelm Exterior Altered (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50977/?), which adds another small dock and a few assorted things to that side of the bridge, which really adds to the feel of the city.

Either way - thanks very much!

Windhelm Exterior Altered has also been bundled into SNOW CITY, and it would be *amazing* to have a patch to use this mod with that one. Right now, alas, the exterior city entrance is buried into a stone wall and can't be accessed, while the entrance to the Abandoned Shelter is half-covered by a snowdrift. I hate to ask for a patch for a mod when it hasn't been touched in a year, but would you please consider it, Nahkin? This would be the perfect home for my scholar character, but I just can't give up SNOW CITY.

When you use shadow casting lights, go to the light data tab and push the shadow bias slider up. That will get rid of the shadow stiping. 50 will give you really clean, sharp shadows but you can drop it down to manipulate the throw. Your mods are really good.

Hi! Your great design and the things offered tempted me to try the mod but still I was afraid something can go wrong... And did  Do you use scripts to modify how bookshelves work? I use Book Covers and Book Covers Lost Library + the Bookshelves Updated SKSE Script mods (also Books of Skyrim and The Seaside Library for a bookstore and a public library, and for player home library rooms: Hearthfire Alternative Library - Windstad Manor, and the Lakeview Library - Book Collector Editon) and all these worked perfectly together.  Now if I activate a bookshelf with books on it and either add a book or do nothing, the books appear in reverse order! Also the animation seems to be worse with more faults (when showing the books appear one by one on the shelf). Can it be because of installing your mod?

Also, a really strange thing happened to me when I tried to throw the librarian's bones on the cooking fire  Objects started to slide toward the door and then upwards on the door and the wall, even my follower did this!

//In the meantime, I did some reading on load order and such things and tried moving this mod up above the others and things seem to be fine again. I don't know if this all was coincidence and what happened exactly but I am happy it turned out okay.//
