Hi Great mod and a wonderful, not a fan of the rickety staircase to the docks though. I think a nice balcony would have been more pleasing than the stairs. I ried to disable them but it proved to be too complicated. Thanks!
I have found a fatal conflict between this mod and 3DNPC. After talking to Norgrof Oak-Heart, added by 3DNPC, in the Blue Palace the game immediately crashes. TESCV edit shows some kind of cell conflict in Solitude but not sure what it is or what to do about it. siiiiiiiiiiiigh
EDIT: this was solved for me in my load order by making sure Barnacle Cottage loaded before 3DNPC mod.
Hi, Im searching a solitude house, so im not using any atm but viewing images modders have put up, in reading the description, does the Solitude Barnacle Cottage KIDS.esp cater for one or two kids beds / kids , ? just aksing
Hi Princess, I came back to have a look and keep track of anything new, after reading your comment, thanks btw, went back and re read description, when you say The (optional, alternative) 'KIDS' .esp adds two children (a Breton girl Alyssa, known as Allie, and a Redguard boy called Karrod) plus their Dunmer nanny/housekeeper.
The master bedroom has a double four-poster bed and the other bedroom is designed for children (though I don't know anything about scripting Skyrim to convince adopted children to live there).
basically if with having only 2 adopted kids they should still sleep in the beds provided vanilla wise ?? and if that kids.esp ADDS a nanny and 2 extra kids, that 3 extra npc's in the a home along with your you and your spouse, ? ok I'm thinking people might need to use Multiple Adoption mod , and cast "bless home " maybe ??, I have the mod just wondering if i need to use it Or If I don't use the kids version mod, the other is still basically a 2 kid acceptable ?
"basically if with having only 2 adopted kids they should still sleep in the beds provided vanilla wise ??" I think so - I don't know how Skyrim scripting works, but if the adopted kids will sleep in any child sized bed then they will sleep in the beds provided.
"and if that kids.esp ADDS a nanny and 2 extra kids, that 3 extra npc's in the a home along with your you and your spouse, ?" Yes. There is enough sleeping space for 2 kids, one nanny, and a double bed for you and your spouse.

Yes. There is no scripting of any kind in this mod - you will need a mod to convince your adopted children to follow you to your new home and consider it somewhere to live. If 'bless home' does that, then it should work.
"Or If I don't use the kids version mod, the other is still basically a 2 kid acceptable ? " Yes - there isn't enough sleep space for your adopted children plus the kids in the optional version, so if you have adopted children that will follow you to the new home, use that and don't use the kids version.
This house is really cute! My only issue was the second bedroom, since I don't adopt kids/get married. I fixed it myself though, and made a nice little armory. Thanks again!
I love this house! It’s just right. The fire escape is perfect for those mornings when my character is not in the mood to negotiate with law enforcement. Thank you for sharing this!
I've loved and used your mods for many years. Thanks for being in Skyrim now. This one's really nice except for the back stairs. SCARY. Oh, I just looked you up and saw a link to ORE. Was that your's too?
ORE was run by Shezrie/Meek, who has made many wonderful mods. She ran regular modding competitions, and I entered a couple and won one. My Markarth Dwemer Palace for Skyrim and Silorn Manor mod for Oblivion were made for ORE's modding competition.
The cottage is nice, complete without being huge. The porch and stairs are what the Become Ethereal shout is good for. I didn't realize my character was afraid of heights until I walked down those stairs :-)
OK, I confess: I'm not confident in using these cleaning tools so I only snipped away the bits I was REALLY sure about - like it showing a cell as being altered that didn't actually have anything to do with my mod. These 36 records must be where I have finalised navmeshes and it's showing all the adjoining cells as being altered. I'm absolutely certain I wouldn't have deleted a navmesh so I'm not sure if that's some kind of "false positive", or whether that's where I joined my navmesh to the existing navmesh and then finalised it.
Anyway, I'd suggest backing up the .esp and then having a play. If you clean it and it works, great. If it screws it up, restore from your backup. And if your 'cleaned' version is better than the one I've uploaded, I'd be grateful if you could email it over and I'll upload it as the 'main' version.

I was interested to add this to my solitude city upgrade.
Make it more better to look at.
But it's not incompatibil with Solitude Expansion by Ceasirius and Ablaze666

it looks nice but has major clipping outside in the skyrim world.
