Some of the scars definitely would have suited my Phantom of the Opera-style character in Skyrim, and I can see you put a lot of love into this mod. Sadly, the computer I'm running the game on is a laptop (potentially of potato status) and as a result it doesn't seem to fully render the scars. (the full facial burn on the left side of the face was just a mass of giant red and orange pixels) So unfortunately I can't actually use the mod itself. Regardless, I'll still endorse once I am able. Great mod, my computer just can't handle it.
It's not your laptop lol. I have a high end custom gaming PC and the scars still look like that. Ugly as sin honestly, I was really hoping that I found an actual good burn scar mod :(
So what exactly is the name of this mod? The page says Diverse Scars, the files listed are all Scars of Skyrim, yet the actual file that is downloaded says Immersive Scars.
Nice idea, but the resolution is very low. "If you want to make these into high definition go ahead" doesn't really apply, because you didn't include the original Photoshop files. You can't take a low-res image and turn it into a hi-rez one. All that does is make an oversized low-res image that wastes disk space and VRAM, and looks just as pixellated as the original in hi-def.
Those screenshots positively SLANDER this mod; new ones needed. They kept me away from this excellent mod for years. Actually, these are very well done and look like the vanilla scars dramatically expanded. Performance-friendly too. D/L without fear! Only catch is, you have to choose between too shiny and many being very raw--like unhealed wounds rather than scars. Or possibly do a little tweaking...Anyway...endorsed at long last!
Edit: The shininess *is* caused by the normal maps (alpha channels, someone said.) But...it seems the "ritual" scars aren't showing up in my game. Could it be due to a conflict with another face mod? (Most of the others do show up, though.) Anyone else have that problem?
Is this mod being updated? If so could you somehow make a geralt-esque scar? That would be absolutely amazing and I'd gladly ditch northborn scars for this anyday
Sounds great! I saw some on Yahoo Images. Tell you what, find me a picture in size 1024x1024 or just a little smaller on Yahoo Images or from a good website and I'll hook you up.
I tried my best to find two decent images which are around 1024x640 I think. Heres the imgur link with the 2 images in the album http://imgur.com/oHg8gLK&XrBu8gM
Thank you! Sorry it's taking me a little longer. My wife and son needed me. I will upload it in the next day or so. Please be patient with me. I just did a cut and paste straight from your picture you gave me. Now tomorrow I will assign them to the files in the Creation Kit.
Update: Cannot seem to get the scar to go above eyebrows.
If I add it to the eyebrow file, it means that when you choose other eye brows you won't be able to get the Witcher scar because it would be only associated with that one eyebrow that I chose and not the others.
I have to keep it in the scar file which can stay in the cheek area.
Don't worry, take your time Is it not possible to somehow turn the scar above the eyebrow into a warpaint maybe? That would allow it to go above the eyebrow I think.
