I love the slower pacing this mod gives, but I have a small problem. I'm not even sure if this is related, but ever since adding this mod, I have not gotten the letter from Falk Firebeard to start Wolf Queen Awakens. I'm not sure what could be going on.
Its easy making an esp.file with the creation kit doing the leveling as fast as you want, whether its twice as fast or 10 times slower. It takes you 3 minutes in the creation kit and thats it Just go creation kit -> character -> Actor Values. Youll find all the skills there (leftclick at "type" will sort them together). Now just click on a skill and change the "Skill use mult" to a value you prefer (e.g. 5.9000 -> 2.9500 would have the effect that you have to use stuff twice as long to increase a certain skill, 5.9000 -> 1.9666 would make it 3 times longer and 5.9000 -> 11.8000 woulld make increasing a skill twice as FAST). The maximum amount of perks you can get in the game isnt changing. Save the mod in your skyrim/data folder and check it in the skyrimlauncher. Done
It only slows skill progression. Nothing else. But it has multiple settings ranging from 10%-100% slow down. Of course the mod that this author suggested should do the same thing
Many are like us, aeryn333. I just don't know why Bethesda didn't make an option of leveling pace in the first place. If somebody could do that, it would be awesome. To be honest, I would rather do it myself right away if I knew how, but I don't, so I rely on xodarap777 to help.
I basically second what @wildyracing is on about..except the do it part..It would be rather nice if you could do that..I too would like a less complicated, like 3X decrease in skill gain..Even with the levelling mods I tired, smithing alone, makes me gain levels far to fast..I want to explore first, before Main Quest.. this levelling after a dudgeon crawl simply because I use me bow all the time as a Wood Elf, with a touch of magick, is irking me, I keep consoling myself down before levelling, bothersome.. Anything like that you can do would be appreciated..My fear is its going to take the CK to do this in a way, that less complicated..an more specific.. Ta mate..
I don't want to use http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1992 ! I don't want to mod Skyrim or to add complex changes. I just don't like levelling up fast and I would like to have slower skill gain (but not more skills to raise level). Just slower skill gain. I like this mod and I use it a lot, but it is not as powerful as I want it to be. I want to decrease skill gain 2 or 3 times, to get a full and complete immersion. I like to complete all the quests, misc and big, usually don't play main quest till it is late. So, I hit level 30-40 even with this mod when I am not finished with town quests only. I simply don't like it that way. So please, if you know how, do it. Make one optional mod, which slower skill gain 2x or 3x. I am sure other players would appreciate it too. Thanks.
Hi man, look like it is a great work, but i have questions about your mod: Is this the best slower levelling mod for Skyrim? Because there are some other slower levelling mod in Nexus but i don't know which one i should download. I just want a re-balanced slower levelling system. Thanks for your answers.
Edit: Here's my test for this mod:
At lvl 6, smithing is 20 (without warrior stone) Making 30 iron dagger in vanilla = smithing: 31 (%0) Making 30 iron dagger in this mod = smithing: 27 (%55)
---------------------- At lvl 26, smithing is 54 (with warrior stone) Making 30 iron dagger in vanilla = smithing: 60 (%35) Making 30 iron dagger in the mod = smithing: 56 (%80)
----------------------- And at lvl 35, smithing is 86 (with warrior stone) Making 30 iron dagger in vanilla = smithing: 90 (%10) Making 30 iron dagger in the mod = smithing: 87 (%80)
----------------------- I think this is a good balance for me, i'll start to use your mod in my next assassin build man, good job and thanks.
