Thank you so much for this mod, The ancient Falmer amour fits with the style of my character but without a crown the amour wasn't complete and i didn't have the stats i could of had with the whole set
I had already killed Arch-Curate Vyrthur before spotting this mod. I installed the mod and then went back to a previous save in the Chapel. I re-did the fight, but the crown was not on his body. Not sure if it didn't work as he was already loaded into the world at this point. The saves I have before this are a bit too far back for me to want to go really though if that is the case.
Would it be OK to just add the item through the console from my latest save game after killing the Arch-Curate a day or so ago? I tried it and it seemed to work fine (your corrected version appeared in my inventory, not the original 0 armour, jewelery piece)? Just checking as I don't want to cause any instability/problems with my save games!
Yes! If you've already killed the Arch-Curate, and are (understandably) unwilling to go back, you can absolutely acquire the crown through console commands instead! It is completely safe, and there should be no chance of getting a wrong version/buggy/glitchy piece of armor.
I'd put the item id up but it differs based on mod load order. :/ I will think about adding better ways for the player to get the crown if they've killed him already...
[TRIVIA:] The crown did not appear on him because the instance of him that you loaded when you went back never wore the crown - the game only checks for what an npc does, looks like, and wears when it first creates the npc. After that, everything is AI-driven, so no going back! The game "creates" the instance of the Arch-Curate which you see and fight when you first load the area, then deletes of body after a period of time.
Added it via console and everything seems to be working as expected.
FYI - I got the item ID from one of the main wiki sites, I didn't need to change anything (maybe I would have if I was running lots of other mods though).
Also, thanks for the explanation as to why it didn't appear once the Arch-Curate had spawned. I expected it'd likely be something along those lines, good to know exactly what it was though .
Yes, all models were already in-game and wearable. The armor was just useless, and inaccessible. It should work on any normal player without any trouble.
