   Maybe have it placed a bit better like not in walls maybe inside the general store in each town.

      i think what jdcrafter means is that the chest has clipping issues with the walls. see these screenshots.

      Judging by your own screenshots on this page the lids of many of the trunks look like they're clipping into the buildings behind them.
