IF YOU SEE STARS IN THE SKY YOU INSTALLED THIS MOD WRONG!!!!!!

This mod REMOVES stars from the sky, and will look TERRIBLE with stars visible, THERE SHOULD BE NO STARS. The void is representative of Sithis, which is black as pitch and eternal in every direction. Also, it will make some pretty terrible visual glitches if you install them, as this mod does weird things to make the sky look the way it does.

PLEASE make sure that the skystars.dds included with this mod is placed in the data/textures/sky folder with everything else, and that it OVERWRITES any previous skystars.dds texture from any other mod you are using, and is NOT overwritten by any mod! Also, the 'skyrimconstellation01.dds/skyrimconstellation02.dds' should be done exactly the same as the skystars.dds, though the glitches wont be AS BAD with them.

If you say "no" to overwriting a SINGLE file included with this mod upon instillation, or install a single mod that replaces ANY file installed by this mod it will RUIN this mod and it will look TERRIBLE.

There is an image in the image section of this mod explaining this visually if you are an inexperienced modder and/or you just need a bit more instructions on how to install this mod correctly.

IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THIS MOD EXACTLY RIGHT IT WILL NOT LOOK RIGHT AT ALL. =[

Hey, when I was downloading some mods, I seemed to get this mod by accident, how do I uninstall this?

I've been trying to install, but it's Win10, and back in win 8 I had problems trying to install this mod. How do you MERGE!<-------- total noob.

      I don't know anything about windows 10... I heard it's awful for modding!! =[
This mod is very easy/simple to install though, and you shouldn't be having any problems!

When I say to "merge" a folder, I mean drop it into a folder that has a folder inside of it the same name as that folder.
For example, to merge the " DATA" folder with yours, go to your "SKYRIM" folder, inside that folder you will see your own " DATA" folder. To merge them, drop the downloaded " DATA" folder into your "SKYRIM" folder (making sure not to drop it into any of the sub folders)
It should ASK something like "These two folders have the same name do you want to MERGE these folders?" ... If it doesn't say that, you didn't do it right!!

When it does say that, say "yes" and say "yes to ALL" prompts to overrights!

First off, thank you for making this mod. It is definitely one of the most unique night sky effects I've seen for Skyrim. I uploaded some pictures I took of how this turns out in-game when used in combination with the Inside the Nebula — Forge Nebula plus Skyrim Galaxy setup.

And yes, I know that it doesn't fall under the basic install method, but after the first time that I played with the Forge Nebula plus, I can't stand to play without it. I think it complements this mod rather well, though it does go against the lore established for it.

I have to drop back here and say thank you for a wonderful mod. At first I was worried there were too many planets, but after using it for awhile I cannot complain. I did miss having stars but I found a work around. This mod is seemingly compatible with two other amazing mods creating an amazing night! I spend my time stuck in camp because as dangerous as my dark nights are, I can't keep from staring at the sky! Combined with Aurora & Shooting Stars this mod will leave you speechless. If it is worth mentioning I am also using Climates of Tamriel which may also be adding in some amazing clouds leading to some gorgeous sunsets, where you can watch the planets fade into view as the sun sets. Shooting Stars is only active on certain days, but the placement of the stars hardly disrupts the planets. Only thing I noticed is some parts the stars seem a bit faded but hardly noticeable. It's nice to see stars added in such a way that won't interrupt your masterpiece. Aurora is fully compatible. Also with CoT (I believe this was the mod) there was a Nova sun option that I believe also added immersion to your galaxy, that's an opinion but I feel it truly gave Skyrim a unique feel throughout the day time. You'll find yourself staring into the sky and then boom random shooting stars! Thank you this is by far the best galaxy mod I could find and I couldn't imagine playing without it. Installation was easy and the helpful tips make it a piece of cake. Awesome mod...

Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you enjoy my mod so much! ^w^ My mods aren't the most popular, so it's comments like this that help keep me interested i modding XD

I personally use this mod with those mods as well, but I use those mods with pretty much everything! This mod was in fact designed partially to be used with CoT! (Or was at least designed with CoT installed)

I also use mods to make night times really dark and scary, the desire to have something really interesting and pretty to look at while I hide in my camp at night is one of the main reasons behind why I created this mod and More Alien Skyrim (The sister mod to this one)

Okay, Art. I JUST managed to get around to playing Skyrim on PC. I installed your mod - among others - and started to play.

Come night, the sky was BREATHTAKING, and I don't mean that lightly. It is an absolutely amazing, beautiful mod. Thank you for making this.

sorry, I do not own oblivion anymore! I also only have permission to use some of the resource files for skyrim on the nexus. ^w^

thanks! A big update is coming out, I finally figured out how to have multiple suns appear in the sky at once, and even at night! =D

My god man. That looks amazing. You couldn't do that for Oblivion could you? That is the night sky I've been searching for.
Either way, I'll definitely use this for Skyrim. Great work! and thanks!

Ugh, I'm drooling over here; sorry about that, xD

Anyways, this is DEFINITELY going into my essential Skyrim immersion list when I get around to truly playing it. I love that you took lore from the series and implemented it in a cool, unique way that is plausible with the setting. Not many mods can do it that well.

Another reason to love being the Dragonborn!

Thanks for the cool mod, ArtMurder!

Looks beautiful...but will it replace the vanilla skyrim auroras that can be seen at night sometimes?
like in these screenshots I just took?

I may eventually do something with the auroras, but for now I consider them more part of the weather then the actual sky XD

      wait-
the auroras are part of the weather and not the sky? o.o
dose that mean if I use your mod there will still be auroras in the sky?
