    So just a heads up to anyone who was trying the new method to get rid of crashes, I've found that putting the CK in compatibility mode with Windows XP will actually cause an error where you cannot edit the text of a quest dialogue, and it will hang up (basically thinking the dialogue window is still open.)  Took me months to figure this out!

    Not sure if @DarkWolfModding still supports me revamping his original fixes, but i basically reworked the ini files and made them more optimized, stable and convenient. If you changed your mind @Dark inbox me and i'll delete the comment, if youre still OK, sticky this post mate, i know im a month or two late on this comment.

    I can't even believe it. I've been working with the Creation Kit off and on for years and I've been putting up with the crashes. I had set all my exe's to run as admin without help. I had even put the creation kit in compatibility mode winxpsp3. I had not thought to do compatibility mode with the other skyrim exe's.

    After reading and applying your fix I finally have a stable Creation Kit. I can't tell you how much time you just saved me. Thanks!!

    I first came here on direction to do so, my issues are all fixed!

    Multiple masters issues FIXED
    DL.STRINGS issues FIXED

    All I had to do was run it in Compatiblity mode for XP SP3 and EVERYTHING works perfect! Everytime I try to load a mod that relies on Dawnguard it kept crashing CK, now its fixed!

    Just a minor update to your excellent mod. I watched this youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S85Q7Iun28w. The video says that you should add two lines to the top of your [General] section.

    bAllowMultipleMasterfiles=1
    bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

    You also have to add all three (or however many you have) to the end of each of the three archive files you mentioned. I put them all in the correct order, but that may not be necessary.

      An edit update.

      You also have to add all three DLCs ( or however many you have) ...

      Sorry about that. :)

      Why is it that the majority community can grab so eagerly something that is free, not having to give ANYTHING in return, yet they CANNOT be bothered reading through text?

      I wonder if you will even make it to this paragraph...

      Oh, you did? Let's see...

      As per the actual mod description:

      Installation: (For version 2.0)
      -Read both the RTF Files included it tells you how to apply these fixes.

      As per the RTF file that was included in the download:

      [Multiple Masters Fix]
      1.Open SkyrimEditor.ini in the main skyrim directory
      2. Under the [General] section make sure "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads" is there and if its not create it and set it equal to 1.
      So it will look like this:
      [General]
      bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
      <continued general section>

      Want the rest of the fixes? Find a place that can help you read, clearly school didn't do its job.

      @Deadmano
      LOL :D True. However I do read; that's why I was checking the posts before asking! So, thanks, I had forgotten how I did it the first time.
