Might want to change the name to controllable giant, seeing the description. "Don't move too far away or you'll get stuck" Well, it isn't really a mount then, is it? Good try, though.
I don't think there's any need to set the summoning time to such a ridiculous ammount. 5-10 seconds should be fine and you don't have to worry about losing him since he simply despawns.
Don't worry too much about the small summon time since, when you're riding him, the summon duration should loop back on itself until you get off. Basically like Arvak from the Dawnguard DLC.
