Like in the description, this is still a work in progress. So if anyone has ideas on how to make this mod better, then leave a comment.

always had this very intensive mod idea about Ysgramor. A questline from Jorlund Graymane saying hes had a request from someone to look for you, asking you to return to the Tomb of Ysgramor for assistance in a matter only the Dragonborn can handle.

You find a mage who is in need of speaking to Ysgramor about an urgent question that only a son of Atmora could answer, and in return, he asks you to raise Ysgramor from the dead, or summon his spirit somehow.

He would then teach you the Resurrect Dead spell that Alduin knows (Slen Tiid Vo), he never tells you how he acquired the knowlege of the shout. And then asks you to raise Ysgramor.

Using the new shout, Ysgramor returns from his eternal rest in his mortal form, asking you why you have done this, but before you can answer you are betrayed by the mage, who has been lying to you this entire time. His true intent was to steal Ysgramor's soul from Sovngarde for some nefarious purpose of summoning an ancient dead master of his, which requires the soul of his enemy.

You are able to stop the necromancer, but he escapes before you deliver the final blow, Ysgramor now asks to follow you in order to end this threat permanently, and charges you with the task, since you are at fault for putting him in this position.

Ysgramor now becomes a follower for the duration of this quest line. The quest would only be available to players who completed the Companions and Main questline, as the locations and characters involved would possibly be bugged if used prior.

At the end, Ysgramor would die again, but he allows you to summon him in your time of need as he grows closer to you as a Shield Brother. There would also be a small restoration effort carried out by the companions to restore the Tomb of Ysgramor to honor his unbelievable brief return to Tamriel.

i've always thought he was very ugly, probably because of his hair.

Ysgramor, that is. Surprised I caught that, I'm usually awful with names.
