Is anyone here able to comment on what it is that flags spells as effective at killing undead? Is there a flag on the spell that notes the damage type?
Or is there just a list of IDs that the mod checks against to see if the spell in question will do the job? If it's not ridiculously hard, I'm going to try my hand at making a patch for Ordinator.
What the hell? Your requirements section (what you actually click on) does NOT say you need SkyUI for this mod but then below in your typing it says it DOES require SkyUI. I uninstalled SkyUI recently but kept this installed. Next thing I know the damn draugr in Bleak Falls Barrow are not dying even though I killed them with fire magic. To have the mod not work properly just because I don't have SkyUI installed is ridiculous. I'm installing SkyUI now to test if that's the problem but I'd rather not have to use SkyUI. Entering SkyUI menus is not very smooth on my laptop and the text is a bit too small for me.
Edit: yup, with skyui installed I can now kill the undead with fire (spells or fire weapons). I don't get why the mod would rely on UI stuff for a combat mechanic to work.
Explain to me what caused you to "facepalm" at my post. I HATE using SkyUI and for such a cool mood I shouldn't have to use that mod. Pain and simple. It makes no sense to me why it needs Sky UI.
Allow me to intervene... SkyUI is the very mod that makes MCM menus possible. MCM menus are the things that allow you to configure mods in-game. Would it be possible to make this mod without SKyUI? Sure, but that would mean you'd have to exit the game and open the mod up in the Creation Kit or TES5Edit every time you want to change the percent chance of skeletons coming back to life.
use SkyUI away it keeps MCMs but has the User interface keep the vanilla look and feel. you DO however need SkyUI installed it's basically a Vanilla "skin" for SkyUI
@rsc587 > HATE using SkyUI > 2019 So you possibly hate to use 75% of all the best gameplay mods ever made for this game. 2012 is calling, asking to take you back m8 :)
@DonProtein, @timmy6100, @vlaka In this situation it was as easy as pointing the OP towards SkyUI-away. That's the helpful answer. Everything else is just trolling and jerky attitude. We all have different tastes, that's what modding is about. We're not here to judge anybody or try to force the mods we like upon others. He didn't like SkyUI, period. No need to attack him or try to persuade him to put up with it. Also nobody was born knowing that SkyUI is a requirement for MCMs to work. We all have to learn it at some point and there's nothing facepalm-worthy about it. Current year is irrelevant. Some started modding Skyrim in 2011, some have just bought it now. I could also facepalm about all of you not knowing about SkyUI-away, which is very well-known in this community, since MANY people don't like SkyUI HUD, believe it or not. Furthermore, if the requirements section isn't filled in properly, and the description gives contradictory information, it's perfectly understandable that some users might find it confusing. I hope you all try to be more helpful next time instead of shitposting.
@rubenpaca the point of the description section of any mod is that the users are supposed to read it before installing the mod. I understand that the mod author did not put skyui under a separate requirement section, but it is up to the user to make sure to garner and clarify any available bits of information before installing a mod, for the very simple reason that it is their game they are installing the mod on, so it is them who stand to lose if they fail to notice any important information. This is something that this user clearly did not do.
I get that it's everyone's own taste what they do with their game and not everyone will like the same mods, but badmouthing an author for having a widely used mod such as skyui as a requirement is just dumb. It also makes this guy sound incredibly entitled, because the mod author is not being paid by this guy or anyone else, they are simply making a mod on their own free time. This is even worse because the mod author in this case actually did include the fact that this mod requires skyui in the description, which @rsc587 simply ignored.
I believe the judgmental attitude the others are showing towards @rsc587 is completely justified and called-for. He/she was being dumb and petulant. If anyone is shitposting here, it's @rsc587, not the others.
I'm having a problem where hulking draugr or vampires dont permanently die from restoration spells from Apocalypse spells. They do die from Fire based Apocalyse spells. I also found out that restoration spells from Lost Grimoire dont permanently kill the hulking draugr if I have Revenge of the Enemies on. But if I have Revenge of the enemies off, Lost Grimoire restoration spells kill hulking draugr.
MCM never shows up for me... no undead are coming alive ... i installed the simple version without the other mods. there for no patches ... install options selected none.
Just fyi some creatures were missed, like the rigidskeleton & acolytedragonpriest in Dragonborn DLC. Probably more. And some actor effects were unnecessarily removed.
Hello! I love the idea of this mod but I have a quick question. If I install a mod that adds more Dawnguard, or silver weapons to the game will those modded weapons keep enemies from reviving?

So unless you're a scallywag you have no reason not to.
