There is a common but fairly rare *issue* that is really a problem with how the vanilla game is designed and will affect any teleportation-like effect or, as in this case, when the player is moved during a defeat scenario. The problem is that many of the interiors and quests are designed completely linearly without considering that the player could be teleported (recall that fast travel doesn't work in interior -- that's the main reason). As I'm trying to explain, this is not an issue with DA: it's an issue of the vanilla game that is made apparent with DA, and would lead to the same problem with any other mod that allow a different form of travel than what the vanilla game allows.
Therefore, I believe that the solution should not be implemented in DA (like I've done so far in some cases by blacklisting entire "bad" location) but should be addressed in a separate mod that would attempt to fix this limitation of the vanilla game for any other mod that add travel/teleportation options. This hypothetical mod would, for example: -Add levers to reopen door closed by scripts when the player finds himself on the *wrong* side. -Create alternate routes to reach quest objectives (like what I've implemented for the Thalmor embassy in DA-Captured. Another example would be an alternate route to reach Skuldfarn (the last nord ruin in the MQ). -?
Sadly, I don't have the patience or time to fix these issues atm but, as I've tried to convince you, they can all be addressed separately and independently. I hope this should motivate someone and if not, well, those are my thoughts on the subject.
I'm not sure if this mod is monitored anymore, but if it is, I have an issue regarding the "Follower Tracking" setting.
I've been experimenting with a new way to play, where I install a new mod - along with any additional mods necessary for the primary mod to work - per character. When a character dies, I remove his/her save files, install a new mod and any prerequisites, and create a new character; the idea is to help me single out any mods that may generate trouble either directly or indirectly - yes, I did take a look at the pinned comments in the "Posts" and "Forum" sections and am going to attempt to provide as much information as possible, and no, I am not trolling or attempting to waste anyone's time.
Here's the important part: I am attempting to join the Companions, but Vilkas is convinced that I am using magic during my training session and refuses to train. My attempts to troubleshoot involved removing all enchanted gear and later removing all gear period. Further troubleshooting attempts led me to discover the source of the issue as the "Follower Tracking" setting being enabled - Vilkas will remain in "combat" instead of immediately sheathing his weapon. I'm aware that it's considered necessary for the proper working of the mod, so I'd like to know if there's something I can do to have this working. This is only my fifth character under the new play method I mentioned in the third paragraph, so my mod list is unsurprisingly small. I ran the "LOOT" tool before beginning the playthrough, and the ESP file was loaded below Dragonborn's ESP, but above the High-Res Texture Pack #1 ESP.
Should the mod creator be interested, I can provide my load order and any other information I may be missing. I hope for a swift response.
Hej there, I wanted to start using Death Alternative today. I've installed any additional mods, but for some reason I cannot use it. When I start the game I get two errors: $DAYMOL_ERR_VERSION $DAYMOL_ERR_SKYUI
I already figured out, that these error means that my SkyUI and my Skyrim Version aren't up to date, wich is not the case. Anyone had something similar in the past? Cheers in advance.
EDIT: Fixed it by myself. Messed up with the older version of DA :D Thx anyway :)
I'm confident the uninstallation instructions work for this mod's creator. Probably for many others as well. In fact, it's the same process I've used successfully for uninstalling other mods. However, the process doesn't work for me uninstalling this mod. After uninstalling and loading a game, the first attempt at saving causes a CTD. I tried several times. CTD every time. Only remedy is to start a new game without daymoyl.
after i blackout my character will just stand in place like if had an invisible wall blocking the path,i don't know why, maybe is because i died in a interior place
Any reason why using the kill option on downed NPCs who are marked essential, vanilla or modded, kills you as well?
Or at the very least in my case, traps me in a limbo/paradox state where I cant do absolutely anything & are treated as dead even though I'm standing up & idling, also while none of the debug options of this mod nor anything in the console can fix me out of this state?
Probably seen this before but just a heads up. I am receiving the error "Incompatible mod archive(s)" for version 7.0.1 within NMM. Any advice to fix this. I have uninstalled and re-installed your mod multiple times.
i've downlaoded every version of this i could find, both oldrim and SE (im playing AE :/) and ive had the same problem every time, when it's installed and enabled the game will not launch, period.

Let the installer beware.
