So, this is a stand-alone, unofficial patch to fLokii's Horse Branding mod? Interesting... I never had the problem of my horse disappearing, but it's good that you found a way to fix that. What annoyed me about the original was that the unbrander and branders just used the dwarven and deadric mace models, that their models wouldn't show up in the inventory menu and that you'd magically get them as soon as you loaded your game. Obviously, this patch doesn't fix those issues, I'm just giving you ideas if you want to further improve the mod.

My mod does change this, too. It just wasn't worth to mention for me! ;-) I did change all the models to dwemer, because daedric looked to spicky for the poor horse! :-)
Well the horses you BOUGHT did never disappear, but the ones you find in random encounters will ALWAYS disappear, because it is in the script. Try it! Take an random encounter horse, brand it, park it in front of a house. Go in, sleep for 2 Days go out. It is gone!? :-P

Enjoy the mod, it should work flawless. It is just not as perfect as I would like to see it. ;-)
But it is easy, drop the esp and folders into your skyrim data folder.
Select the esp in the launcher menue. I recommend Wyre Bash.
