Hi Nexus,
Its been a while but I've finally got back round to doing some work on this mod.
Version 7 is out and I've made a few tweaks, check the change log for more detail there.
A new save file is always recommended... However if you need to upgrade on current one, I've added a section bellow.

A simple mod that allows Magicka and Stamina to gain Experience,
And grow as you cast spells and swing your weapon around !!
After Installing go to your mod configuration and check the box to activate the magic effects.

For a long time I've loathed the static choice of health, magicka or stamina per level.
And hated never having enough magicka or stamina because I've invested in health.
So I made this mod for personal reasons and decided to share it here.
No Longer will I be the mage who has no health because I invested in magicka.
No Longer will I be the warriror who has no stamina because I invested in health.
With this mod both your stamina and magicka will increase as you exercise them.
Simply cast spells and swing your weapon around to gain exp and see your magicka and stamina grow.

How this works is if a spell cost 10 magicka you'll get:
- 10exp at a multiplier of 1 means casting the spell 10 times to grow
-   2exp at a multiplier of 0.2 means casting the spell 50 times to grow
- 20exp at a multiplier of 2 means casting the spell 5 times to grow
Stamina works likewise, except replace spell cost with weight and casting with swinging.

  • EXP growth for Magicka based on spell cost
  • Configurable EXP multiplier (Default is 0.2exp per magicka point)
  • EXP need is equal to Magicka Base value
  • Magicka Growth is one to your level random integer
  • Channeled spells grant 1xp per second cast times the multiplier
  • Configurable Magicka Growth Cap (Stops exp when you have X base Magicka)

  • EXP growth for Stamina based on weight
  • Configurable EXP multiplier (Default is 0.2exp per weight point)
  • EXP need is equal to Stamina Base value
  • Stamina Growth is one to your level random integer
  • EXP can be gained by swinging weapon (Weapon weight worth of exp * multiplier)
  • EXP can be gained by Sprinting (carry weight/total carry weight*10 times multiplier)
  • EXP can be gain by blocking (Half attacker's weapon weight times multiplier)
  • Configurable Stamina Growth Cap (Stops exp when you have X base Stamina)

  • Download the mod, Please remember to remove all previous version of the mod before updating to the latest version
  • Extract the .rar into your data folder or install with manager
  • Go to your load order
  • Activate DM&SG.esp
  • Go to skyui and activate in the mod menu
  • Check your active magic effects for dynamic magicka and stamina effects
  • Have Fun :)

I do recommend a clean save but not too much should have changed from v6 to v7.
First of all make a note of your characters values for magicka, stamina and carry weight just in case.
Unfortunately you'll loose any exp gain and settings so far but your attributes should stay same.
Secondly leave the magic effects active on your old character.
Uninstall.remove the old version..
Download the mod and install, replace files if needed.
Load Skyrim reactivate the effects and DONE :)

Now I've removed a few options from the menu and have changed the way exp is handled with the multiplier.
After installing you will have to change the settings to something you like.
I suggest something like 0.2 for a background feature and 1.0 for a quicker progression, 2.0 is the max.
You'll level up if your exp reaches the same value as your base magicka.

-::= Compatibility =::-
Some modded spells and magic might not trigger dynamic Magicka.
Any mod that tampers with attack speeds or item weights may break dynamic stamina's balance. For example swinging a sword at the speed of light and weights more then your Stamina pool might cause some exponential growth. If this happens you may have to drastically lower the stamina growth multiplier.

(Q): The reset button doesn't work?
(A): I am aware and am working on it

(Q): Saving and loading doesn't work!
(A): Check your FISS Files, if its still not working leave a comment

(Q): The mod doesn't work and the magic effects aren't my magic menu!
(A): Check you have the required mods, and that you've activated the mod from the mod configuration menu. If it still doesn't work you can add the magic effects using the console. Type ( Help "Dynamic" ) find the spell IDs and (player.addspell ID), not magic effect IDs, SPPEEELLLLL IDS HARRY
