I figured out how to use it. The modder placed the esp inside a bsa file. Dumb, but since it is his only mod, don't get mad. The way to solve this is very simple actually. You juste need a bsa extractor and extract the esp from the bsa. Then, copy paste in the folder when the esp from your other mods are. If you are a MO user, create a folder alongside the folders of your mods in ModOrganizer/mods. Then use either MO or Skyrim launcher to check the esp. Done!
The problem I'm having is I've tried all those steps. I've installed it manually and with NMM. When I install with NMM I activate the mod. But its not showing up in the plugins section. It also is not showing up in the data files on the launcher to be activated. When I run Wrye Bash it doesn't show up at all. Checking the mods folder direction I do see the Elicor'sArmor.bsa and as it is now I can make the ebony mail. But its listed as heavy armor. And the chest and key is no where to be found in the sanctuary.

Great concept, dude. I always thought it made more sense to have the ebony mail as a light armor. I am running into a problem though, the craftable armor is still showing as heavy and no chest or key appeared in the db hideout. I'm also using amidianborn as well as chrono's complete armor replacer.
First of all, he changes the Ebony armor set not the daedric artifact Ebony Mail. Second, I did this awhile back on steam, but someone wanted it on nexus too.
I can get this to work which is sad because i have always liked the nighingale set with the ebony mail. My mod list is huge, though mostly texture replacers using SPERG instead of SKYre right now not sure if that might be the issue. I'll keep an eye on this though to see if any updates fix it.

someone already did this, but you chose not to search for it, good effort, but this far into the game, there is most likely mods for things like this
