THIS... This is what should've been implemented in the vanilla game in the first place. I hate the concept that the style of armor is set by the type of metal used to make it. You should be able to have Altmeran (Elven / Glass) armor made of ebony metal, or Morrowind heavy armor (Ebony) made out of steel, or basic nordic armor (Steel) made out of oricalcum.
Why not add a dragonbone and dragonscale version as well. I would say a daedric but the whole against vampires. Vampires made from a daedric prince thing.
And Boethiah is Molag Bal's rival. I see no problem lore-wise making daedric Dawnguard armor. Additionally, if a mortal can forge it, I don't see why a mortal can't forge it in a style of their choosing.
This mod is GREAT. I'm particularly fond of the ebony full helmet variant, though I have a couple of questions regarding the mod: Are you going to update it at any time to make it possible to craft unenchanted versions of these armors? I play as a vampire, and it seems almost counter intuitive to have my aesthetically pleasing dawnguard helmet have an anti-vampire enchantment on it. And second, would you consider possibly making the mod compatible with this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15927/? Once again, this is an amazing mod!
The Dawnguard armor doesn't have an enchantment by default. It actually is an effect innate to the armor and weapons. They can still be enchanted, but the message "especially effective against vampires" will still show up instead of the enchantment you put on it (unless you are using the unofficial patch, which gets rid of the message).
Basically, you can still add an enchantment to your armor, and it will still be effective against vampires. It just won't say so in the vanilla game.
Just what I've been looking for. A mod which allows me to look like a member of Dawnguard post-15sh lvl. Kudos to you sir for creating this pearl of a mod. Also, is the mod discontinued? Will you consider adding stalhrim and dragon material versions of armors?
I just LOVE yout mod, i dont download it for better Armor stats, i download it for the Optics *-* because i like the dawnguard armor but after some time the standard colors are a little bit boring ^^
Hello all I really liked this mod and I downloaded it from steam workshop but I have a lot of mods right now and I would like to uninstall it but this mod is still installed even thought I hit unfavorite on steam and have restarted the game 10 or more times by now and I don't see it in my Skyrim data files anymore ether so where and what is its name in the main files thanks for the help
