Regardless if someone got away with this kind of thing before, this IS copyright infringement. SEGA gave no permissions for anyone to use content they made out of their own funds, even if no profit is made.
I'd like to direct you to this: http://smallbusiness.chron.com/fair-use-logos-2152.html (go down to the "Use in Fiction" paragraph) As far as i understand it. I can use SEGA's logo for "Use in Fiction" which I would guess would cover a video game mod.
Skyrim is a real product, and you are slapping a SEGA Endorsement on it. If it were to appear in the game itself, like on an lore breaking TV, you might be able to get away with it. But, the logo video appears before the game starts, making it appear SEGA endorses Skyrim.
What reason does Sega have to give a crap about some Skyrim mod that less than 10,000 people have looked at, let alone actually downloaded?
If they actually tried to sue the creator, at least 25% of Sega's PR department will wind up needing therapy after the consumer reaction nightmare that would ensue. Followed by people just re-uploading the mod and making na nana na poo poo gestures at Sega.
Third of all, what would they even get out of a lawsuit? We're talking about a giant, multinational entertainment corporation trying to get money out of some random guy on the internet. What are they gonna sue him for? $100 dollars and a Burger King coupon?
Still have my dreamcast up and running with around 60 games loved it back then, best console ever. One of the first real online consoles with prime example Phantasy star online or Quake 3.
Skies of arcadia was great game or SHENMUE!
But i wont change my screen into dreamcast sorry bit of immersion breaker.
This most likely violates copyright laws.. It would probably be in your best interest to pull the file since Nexus is very strict when it comes to copyright laws.
Well I was about to add a Mod that would replace every single cough, sneeze, yawn, and humming noise from NPCs, with quick oneliners from movies, and I was going to credit all the titles. I decided to contact the admins here before I did and they said it would be forbidden because of copyright. Even if it is not for profit, you still can be sued for civil reasons, it just won't be criminal reasons, and that is exactly what Nexus wants to avoid.

@OutbackSam - Well, didn't realize that. I suppose that'd work for me.

It comes in 1080p and runs for 14secs. I don't know if that makes it too big or anything, but thanks
