Thank You so much for the minimal Version. I play Skyrim till its out with some big mods, so this One is perfect because there are no Conflicts, like i would run in with AOS und SOS. (i use only two of them)
Drives me mad that i do not remark this absolut lovely immersiv work until this Days. Anyway the wind blow.... ^^ Works like a Charm, both Versions are nice beside each other.
I am using the vanilla version and as soon as it was installed, water sounds (was at Riverwood) now go on and off every couple of seconds. I uninstalled your mod but water sounds continue to turn on and off every sec or so. Am using NMM by the way.
Does anyone else have this issue? Haven't been in a cave, etc. to tell if the mod is working. Is there a work around or setting that I'm not aware of? Would really appreciate a reply. This mod is a great idea. The moaning is the main sound I hope to get rid of.
I'm experiencing this exact same issue in Riverwood. I'm by the mill and the water sound plays for 2-5 seconds and then cuts off, there's a pause, and the the same thing repeats in a loop. It completely breaks immersion for me.
@lozt It is very subtle on some sound setups, but a little peace has a big impact. When I was running tests, I'd put on my good headphones with sound cancellation, turn down all sound sliders except for Master and Effects, then run through caves/dungeons to make sure I wasn't missing anything. It's eerily quiet. Just 20 minutes ago I heard the Hagraven's idle breath clearly for the first time. They sound like 80 year old women gasping for their last breath. When you're crouched in a dark corner and they limp past you wheezing with no white noise to mask it - it is really creepy.
Also, as general news, I added a more effective version that's quieter but less lore friendly.
At first I wasn't sure if it was working but when you subtlety notice it is you are very grateful. Awesome idea for a mod, very useful, and very happy I stumbled upon it I feel like I am in control of my audio rather than my audio in control of me.
UPDATE: Added a version that covers Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Hearthfires doesn't add any new looping sounds so either version will work with that. Otherwise, grab the DLC version to knock out the audio annoyances in Dawnguard and Dragonborn.
I really like this mod! I never realized before how much white noise is going on in Skyrim. Now I can hear my footfalls, birds, bugs, skeletons creaking toward me, and voices are clearer, among other things. I play with headphones on and the sound of water running in my head could get pretty annoying near rivers. I didn't know it was going to affect so many noises, its great. Thanks for the mod. Now if you could turn down some of these noises that reoccur around me in Real Life...
I was really surprised at how well it came out, too. Especially given that it only took about 15 minutes to put together. The difference in dungeons and even the overworld in some places is a breath of fresh air.

If so, this mod doesn't work for me on the Legendary Edition.

I love this mod too for the cave/dungeon fixes.
Please help me figure this out?
