You all know that (at least without mods that alter the formula) you can reach the maximum armor rating with normal steel armor (or iron if you wish), given you have the right perks and maybe enchantments?
Yes I do know that but there are a few reasons as to why this mod is stil useful. First off, with all necesarry perks, but not any enchantments or potions I was not able to achieve the cap with regular steel. That is importatnt because some people when playing warriors (like me, for example) don't use enchantments and sometimes not even potions. Secondly, weapons don't have damage caps. This mod also makes elite steel weapons, so those weapons can now match with the steel armor. It seems kind of lame to be wearing steel equipment but still using a daedric sword. Now you can actually be matching and still have great stats. Thanks for the feedback, though, and have a good day!
Good idea. Up for making light armors with similar qualities? Like, equal or a little higher than Dragonscale? I'd say Hide, fur, and leather armors... I don't need them because of a certain perk in SPERG but I'm quite sure someone else would love it.
Just wondering... do you use separate models you assigned the stats to, or do you assign the stats when the model is smithed? I'm asking because of the Sleek Steel armor, that replaces the female model of the basic steel armor.
The elite Steel equipment uses the same meshes as the regular steel equipment meaning that any mod that alters the models of steel armor, ie sleek steel armor, will also alter the appearance of elite steel armor. The only way that it wouldn't is if the sleek steel armor made a completely new mesh and assigned that rather than altering the old one. So it really depends on the armor mod.
