I wanted a "burner" for my character that was a crossbow instead of a staff. In order to release it, I had to make my own model. So, here you go.

[introduction]

This mod adds a new weapon along with ammo for Skyrim. The weapon is the hand held plasma caster rifle of a sort used on missions of extreme danger and difficulty, like war or capturing a Queen Xenomorph. It also adds ammo for the weapon in explosive and non explosive fire and shock varieties. The explosive bolts have a flare effect that aids in recovering the prey and the "quivers" add skull trophies to your back. The non explosive versions have no flare effect. There are also non explosive quivers that are yautja packs! The weapon itself has custom firing sounds and is powerful, but not overpowered. There is no one hit kills unless you alter the stats, or sneak with perks.

If the pack sits high or low, adjust the scale in Racemenu of the quiver.

As of .5 the quivers will use vanilla node placement.

If you still can't get it working, I put my personally tweeked skeleton under misc files. It is an XP32 Maximum with nodes moved to suit my tastes. I don't use this any more, so from .5 on the Node placement will be vanilla. Until they aren't.

Craft under steel with leather strips.

[installation]

Use NMM or merge my archive's data folder with you Skyrim's data folder. Tick Machiko's Burner in default launcher.

[requirements]

Dawngaurd and the 1.9 update.

Not required, but I strongly recommend Bows Corrected Position to make the weapon sit nicely on your back.

Did you know you can easily move the position and/or add/remove items from the quivers?

All you need is NifSkope. It's free. It's easy. It's essential. It is so awesome that it doesn't even have any install program to run. Just download and run.
Open one of the meshes with NifSkope.
Right click on one of the objects and move over transform on the window that pops up.
Click on edit.
A window will pop up with six adjustable coordinate value boxes along with a scale box.
Adjust values and save.
You don't need to close the edit box.
You can alt+tab from the mesh to Skyrim and back adjusting. You only need to unequip the quiver and reequip it, closing the menu and reopening it in between.
ctrl+delete will delete items.

[future plans]

Better textures

More ammo with different quiver placements for compatibility with node placement of various skeletons.
