Mined lots of gold ore over time and thought to myself, wouldn't it be nice to craft it out of coins for ingots. Great mod idea, then thought wouldn't it be nicer to craft those ingots to coin. Nicer even, but I tweaked it in the opposite direction. Never thinking it was that easy... Thank you.
This mod is great, but I think 100 gold coins is still too cheap, what about 150? The process of creating the gold bar should be more difficult than dropping exactly 100 gold coins into a smelter... But alas, great mod!
Not everyone has that big of an issue with the Vanilla Framework. I honestly don't mod the Inventory system and find the Skyui stuff over complicated when I am using a controller. So be Butthurt, its all personal preference.
if this were say added to something that overhalls smithing in a whole and could be done both ways by allowing septims to be made from gold bars i think that would be a great mod
I *was* going to explain how Septims are a proper coined currency and how making your own Septims was pretty much equal to printing counterfeit money.
Then I remembered that any old gold coin in any old tomb from the south of Falkreath to the north of Solstheim is apparently a Septim, so it really seems Septim is just a word meaning "Gold Coin". So, yah, making your own makes sense.
Good thought! On the other hand, maybe Skyrim had had a national mint since the stone ages (That leaves me wondering: Where do all these coins actually originate from? I have never seen such a thing as a mint back in Cyrodill...)
@Selene69s: If you need a gold coin crafting mod, you can have one here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26453 or a more sensual approach here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32260
...anyway: Nice mod, I still prefer it that way. It's more balanced.
