    Update 2.81 makes disabling/enabling of loadscreens easier. See changelog.

    Conan warpaint uses Biped slot 60, so make sure, you have set "Left/Shield Biped Slot" and "Right Biped Slot" to values different from 60 in Dual Sheath Redux patcher options.

    Tested on 20.03.2023 on a heavy moded game.

    Beautifull dungeon design, with a lot of skill and heartblood.

    Works flawless after all this time, incredible!

    Edit 2023.03.25: Not completly flawless, sometimes, despite pulling the switch, the final gate will not open.
    Not sure what causes this issue.

    This could have been such a great mod if only for the lack of sufficient fulgarite in the game .  For the record, the Conan movie this is based on had absolutely nothing in common with the actual stories.  Thulsa Doom was not a Conan character, he be longed to King Kull.  And the saying they attribute to Valeria, was really said by Be'lit, Queen of the Black Coast.

      does the gate open in this version? the nexus version is broken (intentionally maybe). unable to ending the quest mod to exit the cave.

    For some reason after using the lever in Thulsa Doom chamber the gate didn't open for me. I used the TCL console command to go trough it and completed the quest.Just wanted to leave that comment in here if someone else gets the same bug.

      edit : just get the update file 2.8.1 and go to see if anything change. If not i suspect the modder changed the file himslef due to some problem on bethesda with the mod, been upset... I don't see anyone having the issue prior to 2016, i've read all comment to see if the issue exist before. Let see ingame, and if nothing change i will explain the situation...
      edit : nothing change so i suspect the modder back in 2016 modified the esp to not let the gate be openend for the sake of bethesda to have done something about the mod, can't get the article in the forum, im pretty sure the modder was so upset that he broke his own mod, people are abe to do that when you touch the ego, i've seen some deleting mods and be anger to have only few endorsements and complaining about it... I've read all comment here, there is no gate probleme before 2016.
      I watched a walkthrough yesterday from 2017 on the sse version, the gate open properly after activating the lever, i didn't remember to have this issue back in 2015..

    Great mod, very nice homage to Conan. However, the lever for the "way out" also did not work for me, as many have noted. I tried it in all possible combinations: activating it while first in Doom's chamber, both before and after the fight, waiting until I'd cleared ALL dungeon levels before activating it, and activating it both with and without "The Riddle of Steel" questline started. It would not work for me.

    At first I either tcl'd through it or disabled it, but alas, this would shatter my immersion and was unacceptable to me.

    I ended up editing the .esp instead. What I did was to initially disable the gate and levers (I say "levers" because there is a another lever hidden under the ground that is linked to the visible lever, visible in the CK if you move the view under the area by Doom's sarcophagus). I didn't want to try and figure out/mess with the MA's scripting for the levers/gate, so I simply set these 3 records to initially disabled in TES5Edit. Then I placed one of those huge nordic ruin double iron doors in place of the inoperable gate, which fits perfectly in the same space where the gate was. I set the door as "needs key" and created a separate record for said key (I named it "Cave Annex Key" ). Then I simply added the key to Doom's inventory, so you find it when you search him once he has been defeated. I play-tested this edit and it worked perfectly - it opens the replacement door whenever/however you reach it, and the questline advances properly once you exit the final area back into Skyrim.

    I'd be happy to share this "fixed" .esp, pursuant to the mod author's permission. Otherwise it's fairly simple to do yourself, with some basic TES5Edit / CK knowledge. I actually made all the edits and additions in TES5Edit (used Jaxonz and console to position the new door while playing and screenshotted the coordinates), and only used the CK to take a look at how things were set up without actually doing any saving in the CK, so yeah, very possible to remedy the lever issue for those who are experiencing it.

    Of course, you could also just set the gate to be initially disabled in the .esp, allowing you to just waltz out of the mound anytime you wanted. I wanted to keep the spirit of the mod as close as possible to the original by adding the locked door, though, so you couldn't get out until defeating Doom.

    Overall, very cool mod, also very nostalgic for those of us who first saw the movie in the 80's. XD

      old thread, but could be great to see your fix in nexus for the mod. I used tcl to get over the iron gate to ending the quest, the lever didn't work, i run 3 times back th the doom's room to see if i didn't forget anything, reloaded a previous save to use the lever again.
      the dungeon is super stressful without light but redoing it in part with the strongest bosses in the dark is super stressful and annoying in the long run just for this big iron gate to see what's going on with and finally breaking the quest adventure with a console command...
      Im asking for the fix because i can't load any esp other than skyrim from CK, im on lnux using mo2, loading ck from but can't get any mod from to edit them.

    Couple of things.The last gate to the area with the trolls didn't open. The reforging of the sword is kind of lame. With smithing 100 you should be able to do it yourself. Graymane's dialog also seems out of character, and him charging you 2500 is definitely out of character.

    Downloaded and played in 2015.
    I did the dungeon last night, what a stress, and in addition I did not answer conan well for the riddle, I had to kill him twice to get the key, I also have a mod that populates the dungeon and cave even more, I had a lot to beat, but I had Auriel's bow with me.
    I'm still inside, I can't find the ore, everything has been scattered in the priest's room, in order to validate the quest.

    found the ore in the room but finally, the gate don't watn to open even after using the lever... im stuck inside forever.
    Fortunately tcl bring me out but fortunately i have the console, if not...

    As a fan of the movie, I absolutely loved this mod. The armor and weapons are excellent, but I'd play this on every character just for the nostalgia and the challenge of going through the dungeon again. I did it at level 8 on this character and it was definitely brutal, but I like a challenge. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it yet, but if you liked the movie, you need to give this mod a try, because it's incredibly well done and the weapons look fantastic, whether you choose to reforge them, or not.
