This is by far the BEST sweetFX preset I have ever tried, I have just endorsed this is so good. Honestly it looks better than a lot of enb's I have tried without the performance loss, you sir are a god
Hmm I got impressive fps boost but I can't get sweet fx it self to work. 32-bit version works like a charm but 64-bit version just won't active sweet fx yet I want 64-bit because fps improvement. 64-bit version won't work 'cause Skyrim is 32-bit? So sad...
hello i really like this idea i have one problem however,it is cutting out to much of my resolution.I cant see certain parts of the main menu, making it hard to even load a save.anyway anyone could help me?it would be highly appreciated.
Hello! im finally playing this game and found this fx, but i just cant make it work... y copy the two last files u uploadead and then nothing happens when i run the game.. even when im playing, the img doesnt change. Any help?
Hey thanks for the great settings : ) im using this with IMAGINATOR and DYNAVISION and its awesome I just wanted to say that theres a sweetfx application you can use also that makes editing way ez just google "sweetfx configurator" and you should find it pretty fast, im using it with kingdom of amalur and skyrim
Needs more endorsements so I added mine. This config works so well, I use it more than ENB presets, which lately are causing too many CTD's. I'm using the Nvidia AO effects (Quality) combined with SweetFX, seems to either remove or exaggerate the AO depending on the games current lighting. Still, looks incredible in certain areas and I forget that I'm not using ENB. Perhaps I'll share some screens soon thanks for the upload
I decided to use your Skyrim SweetFX as a base for my AC3 game. I started tweaking (got rid of the chromatic aberration) and after all my tweaking I saw no effect in AC3. I turned off the film grain and all the other effect came back.
My question is, how do I get film grain to run along side the other effects without turning them on?
For some odd reason, all effects are forced off unless you have SMAA turned on. Once I turn SMAA on all color correction worked. The only thing that didn't have this problem was film grain.
Try it on yours. Turn SMAA off and everything else will quit working.
Hi! Nice to meet you. I've never try ENB Series, But I want a kind of FX series like ENB with COT and RLO. So, I tried this mod. there is a little lag, but Very Cool!! Thanks for your hard work. My pc spec is low(XP 32bit ,?3.2GB ROM , AMD HD6850 1GB) and tried my Sweet FX setting Config : #define USE_FILMGRAIN 0 #define USE_BORDER 0 #define USE_VIGNETTE 0 #define pattern 2 #define dither_method 1
and tried to disable MSI Afterburners overlay : Show On-Screen Display Off application profile properties add TESV.EXE (display server properies -> Check : Enable compatibility with modified direct32D runtime libralies -> Framerate limit 30 ->Check off : Show user interface tooltip
Wow. This just doesn't work at all. I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong.
I installed the files in my SKYRIM directory, per the readme (ie, SKYRIM \ FILES \ d3d9.dll), even though I'm pretty sure it's wrong, and nothing. Then I installed it without the FILES sub-directory (ie, SKYRIM \ d3d9.dll) and nothing.
I tried remapping the toggle keys... nothing.
I made sure FXAA was off in both the Skyrim launcher and in my graphics card applet... nothing.
I even deleted both the default and the Skyrim video profiles in my graphics card applet... still nothing.
You don't need a files sub-dirctory, no. Do you have any other shaders installed? Or do you use Win 8? Some people have problems with windows 8 and SweetFX.
I tried both versions. The normal (32 bit) version doesn't work... the game immediately CTDs. The game starts up fine with x64 version, but there's no indication that it's working. No change to the color palette or anything, and hitting the toggle key does nothing. I have Win7 x64.
Oh, and yes I know I have to install all the files... that was just an example to show the various ways I've tried to install it.
Which is correct, BTW? Does the d3d9.dll (and all the other files and folders in the mod) belong in the same folder with TESV.EXE or should it be in a \FILES sub-directory?
The only thing I can think of that might be even remotely close to something that might interfere with this is Rivatuner. I use Rivatuner to monitor frame rates and temps, and manage my graphics card fans.
You don't think that would have anything to do with it do you?

I know that many effects don't work if chromatic aberration is enabled.
Filmgrain was working always though.
I tried it in Hitman (dx11) and it was working.

CeeJay.dk is working for a fix. Well that was months ago. I hope he still does.

Thank you very much!
Disabling Rivatuner fixed the problem.

This has to be there because it has all the shaders.
So it should be something like this.
/Data
/DirectX10
/Skyrim
/Sweetfx
d3d9.dll
SweetFX_preset.txt
SweetFX_settings.txt
SkyrimLauncher.exe
TESV.exe

Disable ANY ingame overlays. I have the same problem with MSI Afterburners overlay.
I should put that in the readme.
Thanks.
