Description

When you enter the Palace of the Kings, there is a rug or runner on the floor that, if you look at it, flickers horribly. This problem, known as Z-fighting, varies between graphics cards, so it might not be a problem for you.
This minor tweak fixes the problem for those of us who have it by increasing the Z of the carpet ever so slightly.

Installation

Nexus Mod Manager:
1. Download with manager and double-click to install
2. Activate Palace of the Kings Rug Fix.esp

Manual:
1. Download the Main file from the Files Tab
2. Extract Palace of the Kings Rug Fix.esp to Skyrim's Data directory
3. Activate in Launcher

Load Order

If you use BOSS, this mod will be sorted correctly, and this discussion is not necessary. If not, please read.

If you have Realistic Lighting Overhaul, or any other lighting overhaul that edits the Palace of the Kings (this includes ELFX), load that mod AFTER this mod.

Example of Correct Load Order:

Skyrim.esm
Palace of the Kings Rug Fix.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp

Explanation: This load order allows my fix to be applied as well as enable Realistic Lighting Overhaul's lighting schematic to be used.

Example of Incorrect Load Order:

Skyrim.esm
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp
Palace of the Kings Rug Fix.esp

Explanation: This is bad because, while this effectively applies my fix to the flickering rug, it completely overrides the lighting changes created by Realistic Lighting Overhaul inside the Palace of the Kings.

In other words, load this very early in your load order and you should be fine.

Compatibility

Compatible with any mod that doesn't change the WHIntCastleRunner01 objects inside the Palace of the Kings, just so long as you load it before any mod that modifies the main WindhelmPalaceoftheKings cell sub-block.
