This ENB is wonderful, one of my absolute favorites. It works well as-is, but I would love to see it with a newer binary!

I've been using RealVision ENB for more than a year and now I want a change of mood. And yours seems to be a perfect choice.
I'm really hope you'll update this ENB preset. I'm really impressed with some of your screenshots.

First off, I downloaded the particle patch thing, now where do I put it? Secondly, I clicked the link for the enbdev.com and where do I download the v208 thing? I'm new to this so be nice, please?

    Thanks!

Ok so enb v208 is now available and I'm using v207. Is this compatible?

Also, from the screens I like everything but the whited out sky. Could you explain to me how to revert this back to nice blue sky? Maybe copy/paste enbseries bloom information?

    Thx - Good job

It's compatible up to current - all that's changed in the latest versions is memory management. The sky also should be more blue than it is in those screens in the newer iterations of my mod.

    Wow!
This is the ENB with better performance among all who I've tested with a gtx 460. I've got enabled AO, DOF,... and the settings are excellent for interior and exterior too.
Unfortunately, as I'm a vampire, the night vision is impaired, but I gave a slight lightened in the evenings and interiors to compensate.
I prefer with this ENB than any other visual effect

Alright how would I go about getting rid of the Gaussian blur effect, I've already gotten rid of dof which I hate and now am finding the blurriness of nightime to be distracting. Also how would I go about in generally brightening up nights and interiors? I like being able to see and am not a fan of super dark nights or dungeons.

I do however love your shader choices as they don't markedly over saturate everything.

To remove the blur, just disable depth of field. You can do it through the enb menu (shift+enter) or by editing enbseries.ini.

To brighten up nights interiors, you can raise the ambient intensity for them, or edit the brightness settings in enbeffect.fx

The latter would probably be easier - the file has settings for night and day and interiors - I'd add about .5 to each to start and raise or lower it from there till you get it where you like it. You'll have to alt-tab out and edit the file, and then go back into Skyrim and apply the settings with the apply settings box at the top of the enb menu.

I've already disabled dof, i think this might have something to do with bloom since if I disable that it goes completely away.

I'll look into the enbeffects.fx file since that does sound like the best place to make the change. Thanks.

Ah, sorry - missed that you'd disabled the DOF in your post. Yeah, you could turn off the bloom too - you'll need to adjust the brightness a bit more if you do, as I'm using the bloom to brighten the scene some. You can probably just pull up the ENB ColorCorrection Brightness slider on the ENB Menu to compensate for that one, as I have some bloom added to every time of day.

Thinking about it, it could also be the SMAA post process that's bugging you, thinking about it. Remove the d3d9_smaa.dll from the top of enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini to remove that. That or just delete d3d9_smaa from your Skyrim folder. I'm using a few antialiasing passes to remove jaggies, and that one will sometimes look blurry on certain setups. There's also a Temporal Antialiasing pass and Edge Antialiasing - Edge shouldn't be blurring the whole image, but TXAA might...that can be disabled from the ENB menu if you want to check that one out.

When I have time I'll try each of those out, but it will probably be this weekend before I can play for any stretch of time to see what exactly is softening the graphics so much. I like a touch of softness...for instance Realvision ENB which I also like tends to look too sharpened and 'hard' for lack of a better word with its brightness in areas.

    Great preset!
The only problem I have is with nighteye. It seems like every preset that makes me drool(on my old-ish computer) precludes the use of nighteye/Predator Vision. My question: Is there some way I can have my scotopic cake and eat it too?
(I finally got around to playing a vampire in the Dawnguard questline and I've grown to depend on their talent for seeing in the dark. Torches/lanterns don't cut it for a stealthy character)

      This is from http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited#ENB_Series_Graphic_Modification

"Navigate to <ENBManager>/ENB Configs/RealVision ENB 1.4e FULL and open the enbeffect.fx file in a text editor.
Remove the "//" next to "#define APPLYGAMECOLORCORRECTION" to allow night vision to work with the preset, then save and exit."

That will allow Predator Vision to work.

      Edit:
#define APPLYGAMECOLORCORRECTION 0// This will deactivate the use of Vanilla post-processing and only use ENB own post-processing.

I believe for this one you would change the 0 to a 1 and see if that works. I'm not running a vampire this go around and won't be a werewolf for a while so if it works let me know please.

I think there's also some mods that are designed to improve nighteye for ENB, I know there's a few on Steam workshop if there aren't any here - this is sort of a problem with any ENB config with color correction because it overrides the game's post-process shaders, but there are some mods designed to fix the problem. Setting the config to use the original post processing disables any color correction the ENB config uses and a lot of effects as well. That's why you can't find any really good ones that don't effect night eye.

Yeah, the mods I've tried all pretty much use the same workaround: give the player an invisible magelight and buff the sneak skill to compensate. However the buff rarely calculates properly with anything outside the vanilla game. And they don't change Predator Vision's visions. I'll just have to deal with it I guess, the game looks too pretty on all my other files not to.

You might try this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22274//? It makes living enemies glow, and is a decent workaround for a vampire type character. Alternatively, if you hit F12 when you activate nighteye, it'll turn off the ENB and let you see in the dark. It'll look kinda ugly (like default Skyrim), but if it's not an all-the-time thing that you use, it might be a workable solution.

I'm glad that you're liking my settings!

    Hi there Tercero,

that's a nice looking ENB you got there.

I've just installed it and it look's great so far.

Only thing bugging me is I find nights to be too bright!

What settings do you suggest I play with to darken nights?

Already tried lowering the ambient and direct light with the GUI and it as almost no effect.

I don't want it to affect days or anything as I think they are perfect and bright. I just want to darken nights and also interiors.

    Thank you!

Edit: There seem to be a problem I've never had with other ENB. I'm in river wood, just under the roof outside the trader house. When moving the camera, you can see the shadows lightening up then get dark again etc... Do you also have this?

I've got COT winter edition + RLO installed.

For darkening nights up, the light is mostly being generated by AmbientColorFilterAmountNight, and same for interiors. Turn them down and it should darken up the shadows for nights or interiors while leaving days intact. I had added those values to give it some color grading and to keep the game playable on my monitor.

I looked into the darkening issue and it seems to be related to skylighting approxamating the scene differently when you walk into/look at shadow...I don't know if there's anything I can do to fix this, save posting on the ENB forum about it.

      Hey thx!

I didn't saw this parameter , maybe because I've used the GUI. Will try it out!

I've installed other ENB's to verify the shadow bug and they also had it. I think it's a bug with the newest versions.

The problem is more or less noticeable depending of the configs.

Right now I've got The Goddess config installed with the mods the guy suggest and I got to say it's pretty damn good looking. Did you ever used it? It's so well tweaked, like everything is balanced and good looking and also the performance are really good. Would be cool to update it with latest enb as of now it's v.121212

Nice ENB, I really, really like that it is designed to be used with CoT and RLO, not may people do that for their ENB, so endorsed .

I just have one question, for some reason my in game brightness slider doesn't do anything and I'd really like to turn down the brightness just a touch.
    Downloaded the latest version.

Thanks for an answer in advance

Were you just looking for darker interiors, or darker overall? You should be able to lower the brightness with ENB's brightness slider, if that's not there or working, the problem may be an outdated enb file.

Another thought is to be sure to copy the enbeffect.ini file with the installation. My girlfriend and I started checking things on our PC's, because the brightness looked really good on ours, and found that if we pull that file, it gets super-bright. My settings are balanced pretty heavily on that file.

If that isn't it, would you mind posting a screenshot of what you're seeing in the user pics so that I know if it's showing up differently on different systems?

Ah, see, that's where I went wrong, I used the actual Skyrim slider, not the ENB slider, going to try that

I think the brightness is just a personal taste thing and it will depend somewhat on where (outdoors, indoors, dungeon) and the time of day and the weather of course, so that might even change during playing the game. I am in no way saying, omg, your setttings are way to bright.

On another note, it seems Boris is hard at work , there's another ENB up, seems everyday now he's releasing a new version. Hard to keep up with him, I am pretty sure he's very exited to do the best he can after he found a fix for the newest Nvidia drivers.

Updated to the most recent version now - just grab the new file. Has some fixes for some minor issues in there too.
