The flames are a bit weak in looks, also is really quickly out of fire. Making it into a regular arrow basically. What is the point of a fire arrow if it lacks the fire? The idea is however great, I still use it even with it's short comings. Also once the arrow hits anything at all, it is to deep in there to show pretty much anything.
It would be nice to have a explosive arrow added to this, which on impact explodes obviously. It does not need a huge range around it, but it should take away penetration for more explosive power. Similar to a high explosive round. It would be awesome to just see that happen. It could damage multiple enemies, but also is a danger for friendlies that get too close. So it could be well balanced there for.
These are very nice. So far the only issue ive faced is with the fire animation. Gets buried in objects often (like building posts) and the animation freezes sometimes and then just stays forever (when shot at wood pieces attached to other things in embershard for example). If there was a way to ensure a max number of light sources added at one time that would be very nice too. Might require scripting on the light sources e.g. JIT scripts to max number and ensure limited lifetime.
Great mod, Jim. I love the concept and it's addictive launching arrows into the darkness. The last "Torch Arrows" mod was incompatible with "Closer Quivers and Longer Arrows". Would this mod work without a patch?
Also does this give your torch arrows to NPCs? I would like to keep Torch Arrows to myself and my companion brother as these can cause some lag when multiple torch arrows are fired by NPCs.
Thank you for creating your own version of this unique type of arrow in Skyrim. I hope you can tell us it's compatible with the above mod.
I think that closer quivers mod would require patch to make this mod compatible. and yes npcs use these arrows. I'v had cuople times when bandits have used these arrows. and I'm clad your liked this mod.
great idea for mod, and sorry for total noob post, but what perk exactly do i have to enable to receive fire damage benefit? i dont see anything else in marksman tree and have tried a few things in console with no luck.
Also would it be possible to have arrow on fire when you draw your bow. just something minor that i think would be cool for immersion
nice little mod. I think the price should be increased for the arrows. didn't see any new perk branches for torch arrows either. seem to be working anyway.

Burning & enflaming arrows - simple and perfect!
Endorsed, friend.

You have to use console
- type help torch
- then you see 3 torcharrow fire perks
- use player.addperk xxxxx
- enable all 3 perks
perks just cast fire damage spells to you target when you shot the arrow
and I'm not sure how to make fire effect when you draw the arrow, I don't know how to edit nif files in that way.

perks don't show in the perk trees bacause they are hidden
I dislike enchanted weapons especially bows but i like firedemage, this is the perfect solution.
Im looking forward to fight in pitch black dungeons where the only light source are my torch arrows...
