Ahh so this is where Joop got those bloody trees from. Now I can also make an updated texture for the resource pack so everyone can enjoy it.
Eternally grateful for the base models and what not, some of the base textures are actually nice also, but I would be lying if I said all the willows were pretty in the global picture of skyrim. They would be georgeous in like Windwaker, Minecraft type lofi bright graphics games but in skyrim they just look like a bad LOD up close. Again, just some of the plants do. And thats why modding is great cuz we come together to make our work shine.
I wish someone would bring the water plants back to skyrim its a dearly missed part of the experience. And no the step thing is out! We need the mod back as it was.
First I want to say that I appreciate the incredible work that has gone into this resource pack. I'm currently making a mod that changes out quite a few vanilla trees with different models from this pack along with others. That way when you go from town to town, it doesn't seem that there are only like 4 different trees in skyrim :) While loading some of them into the CK, i'm getting missing textures. When i load nifskope its looking for some bark at this location: textures\landscape\trees\tld\bark01.dds Yet the tld folder doesn't exist, and i cannot find it in other resource packs. Any suggestions on where to locate these files?
I'm just leaving this bit of information here for anyone else who might encounter it. When cleaning a particular tree in this resource with SSE NIF Optimizer, the tree animations got disabled and CK would throw up an error saying that animations was disabled because it was missing vertex colors. To fix this just open up the tree mesh and on the mesh block for the leaves of the tree scroll down within the block details and add "Colors" to the Vertex description by right clicking that spot and clicking the Vertex flags. After adding colors to the vertex description, head to the BSLightingShaderProperty and within its block details and under the Shader Flags 2 select the Vertex_Colors option. And with that the trees will animate properly! ^^
DEAR LORD BLESS YOUR SOUL. I have been working on porting over enderal to sse and this was one of the last things I couldn't figure out. Thank you Thank you Thank you
CK crushes when I try to generate tree LODs. DynDoLod cannot find proper files for lods. The trees itself looks very good but I have no idea how to generate lods for them.
You probably figured this out by now, but DynDoLod needs tree billboards of the trees first in order to create LODs. Follow the tips in this video on how to create your own.
I'm getting floating tree LOD's like they are stacked up on each other? I used this mod to place a few trees in a new world space i made (not finished or LOD generated yet too) But in Tamriel I see this issue? It must have something to do with this mod, as it was fine before. Any help please?
I have deleted all the LOD files in the meshes and texture folders, the floating trees are still there
The file that is most likly messing up the tree lods for you is in Textures\terrain\Tamriel\trees and called tamrieltreelod.dds. Try removing that one or replacing it with the original file that you can find in the Skyrim - Textures.bsa.
The reason you hade the problem is that fact that you had not generated tree lods with the new file from this mod. Needs to be done both for any new worldspaces and for tamriel.
