After quite some time tearing hair and gnashing teeth I finally realised what the problem is
shaders and injectors !!
Simply using =no= shaders and =no= injectors (just default) with better faces by bella and you get Gwen as you see her in the screenshot. The ENBseries shaders can do wonders for how it greatly improve screen image, but they really mess up faces if they have been created with no shaders. I also tried the FXAA injectors and they also cause the face to look entirely different but in a different way to ENBseries.
Using better Faces by Bella and ENBseries101 causes the faces to have 'burnt-out' foreheads and upper cheeks, although covermodel does not exhibit those problems it seems to overemphasise other features.
Ok - after installing yet another ENBseries v.101 I find faces are treated much better - so it must just have been the particular config I was using at the time - but I think the initial experiance only proves how much can effect what we see, although I can still only reproduce Gwen if I use default graphics settings.
Anybody who might possibly do a screen shot comparison when they use normal textures and the textures provided by the kind Choccs? That would be much appreciated.
Having the same problem as xyrqes, I decided to go through and test each unique load order for the 3 mods (with no other aesthetic mods), and couldn't get the look of the screenshot. Since those are the only 3 mods you're using, then it seems they're sort of Frankenstein'd together, in that you didn't go for full overwrites in whatever order you installed them.
Is there any way you'd be willing to simply upload your Textures folder to possibly shed some light on what's what? (Or, at worst, provide an amalgamated aesthetic mod that works for these characters)
If one were to 1st install better Females =and then= install XCE =and= Coverwomen it would totally overwrite all the Better females files.
In fact one would have to install XCE =first= (which itself includes face and body textures) then install =either= Better Females =OR= Coverwomen as those 2 mods include the same files (apart from 3 warpaint files in Coverwomen)and would overwrite each other.
I have indeed tried to use the character designer to achieve a closer approximation to your screenshots, but still can't quite get 'that look' that makes her so captivating. Often lighting can make a big difference to a face, but I have tried several lighting locations with no improvement.
Are you totally sure those screenshots are from that saved game?
Has anybody else who d/l the save games managed to get Gwen to look anything like the screenshots? and if so what face mods were you using please?
Hmm, i'd suggest to install the Better Females from Bella first and then apply Xenius and Coverwomen. That would probably fix the problem.
Xyrqes, if it still doesn't work. Try to change her yourself by typing ~ showracemenu. I have used these 3 mods and nothing else. I kinda thought Better Females was a no-brainer, as its nr 1 listed, my bad though.
I don't mean to seem disrespectful, but are those two listed the only mods that you used? After installing them and loading your saves I get a message which says the saves rely content which isn't there; when I choose to load anyway, the faces which greet me are not those in your images. I'd really like to do a play through with one of your characters, so any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

However, when I used Better Females by Bella by BellaGail

the eyebrows now looked as in the screenshots, but still the face looked quite different to the screenshots.
