I'll be keeping an eye on this. I'll be sure to give it a shot after my next play-through. I can't use it for this one since I'll be using SkyRe, and perk-changes and SkyRe don't get along. Still, very cool idea. It see a few issues I would have with it, but they're just personal taste.

Version 0.66 is released now. I did many tweaks to destruction. Give Feedback pls!
Im also thinking about increasing the magicka costs of scaling spells when the become stronger. What do you think about this idea?

how does these changes affect the destruction spells?
i mean if the first spells you gain wont increase in damage they do became rather useless imo.

The concentrated ones (Flames,Frostbite,Sparks) increase on adept level. The aimed ones (Lightning Bolt, Firebolt and Ice Spike) on Expert level. I'm still playing around with ne numbers and also thinking about adding a second increase on master level.

have you given any thought on how your changes to the destruction spells might affect leveling speed of the skill?

im using a different magic mod atm, and its nice, but the leveling speed of destruction have been slower.
im no modder, but afaik the leveling of destruction isnt on damage done, but rather base damage of spell like weapons are. i might be wrong, but i belive its like that.

if the most common spell i might use is only adept level - then maybe leveling of the skill might become slow unless its replaced when taking perks and not just a damage modifier on those spells.

This issue could be sloved with the skill usage multiplier. But i dont know yet if i can modify this value with the perks. Problem is if i set it too low you level slowly on higher levels. But if i set it too high you level too fast in the beginning.

      In response to post #8472970.

It probably depends on how deep you are already in the perk trees und which spells you have already learned.

After some testing it looks like the only problem is that you can have some spells which arent supposed to be obtainable in my mod.
But scaling and modified perks are working fine.

One exception is the Illusion tree where i switched some perks to new ones.
