Thank you for installing Kalt! All credit for the weapon "Dolch Kalt" goes to HabakukFeitag! Also known as David Jungnickel, he put in the hours modeling Kalt in Blender, and designing the texture in Photoshop. If you enjoy this mod, don't forget to endorse the original, found at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38024/? ! As for me, Nudedragon, I've gotten permission from David to upload a balanced alternative to his original file. I love his work to death, but the damage and value are just too high for my tastes.

Neither I, nor HabakukFeitag, have added Kalt to skyrim's leveled lists. I suggest using the mod Lootification, by Dienes, found at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32339/? for this purpose.

Orcish version: Kalt can be crafted at any forge under orcish, once you have the orcish smithing perk. The required materials are 1 steel, 1 iron, and 1 orichallum ingot. The dagger has stats slightly superior to an orcish dagger, with improved crit damage, value, and less weight.

Altered from David's upload:
Kalt now requires a Orichallum ingot to smith or temper
To craft or temper Kalt, you must have the orcish smithing perk
Reduced the base damage
Increased the crit %mult
Increased the crit damage
Reduced speed
Replaced Keyword "WeapMaterialDaedric" with "WeapMaterialOrcish"
Reduced the weight
Reduced the weapon's value

Quick Stats for Reference:
60 value
4.5 weight
6 base damage
1.3 speed
0.7 reach
6 critical damage
1.5% critical multiplier
Silent detention sound level

Elven version: Kalt can be crafted at any forge under elven, once you have the elven smithing perk. The required materials are 1 steel ingot, 1 iron ingot, and 1 refined moonstone. The dagger has stats slightly superior to an elven dagger, with improved speed, value, and less weight.

Altered from HabakukFeitag's release:
Kalt now requires a refined moonstone to smith or temper
To craft or temper Kalt, you must have the elven smithing perk
Reduced the base damage
Reduced the critical damage
Replaced Keyword "WeapMaterialDaedric" with "WeapMaterialelven"
Reduced the weight
Reduced the weapon's value

Quick Stats for Reference:
125 value
2.5 weight
9 base damage
1.6 speed
0.7 reach
4 critical damage
1% critical multiplier
Silent detention sound level

Installation: The installation process is standard. Directions are included. If you manually install, these may be useful to you; NMM users can delete the folder called "Weapon Kalt," post installation.

Compatibility: There should be very few incompatibilities. This weapon is not yet set up for dual sheath redux, so it will not show up if sheathed on the left side. If you use a "placed" file, Dolch Kalt may prove incompatible with mods altering Riverwood's inn.

Troubleshooting: If you encounter any bugs, make certain all of Dolch Kalt's files are present and accounted for. If the issue is not directly related to the dagger, disable your esp, and see if the bug persists. If it does not, report the issue with as much detail as possible, and include your load order.

FAQ:

Q: Why do you have an FAQ in place before even releasing your mod?
A: The voices in my head are quite critical of my work.

Q: Do you REALLY have permission to upload this?
A: No means meow.

Q: The blade is too bright!
A: That's not a question, and go get the dirty update

Q: Why upload a weapon that's already been uploaded?
A: I wanted experience with nexus' file wizard, and many posts on the initial releaser were about the dagger's excessive damage.

Q: Can I alter kalt's stats for myself?
A: Yes, but you need explicit permission to upload your version, both from me, and from David Jungnickel.

Q: How do I change the stats for myself?
A: Shut up voice in my head, you're me, you know how! Seriously, though, I'll give some pointers if anyone wants to know.

Q: Is this just a dream?
A: Yes, and you're late for work. Again.

Once more, a huge thank you to HabakukFeitag for making this possible!
