This mod is great I love having a scarf on my character I love this mod, was wondering if you are going to port this for console players. Playing skyrim now on my Xbox one since PC is out of commish. Would love to see this mod on the xbone, it is one of my favorites, please port it! Thank you for the amazing mod!
When patched with cloaks; are the guards and other units supposed to have both a cloak and a scarf in their inventory? They only wear one or the other of course - but they definitely have both in their inventories. Thanks!
I made a version that's wearable with cloaks, but I made it for personal use and the author doesn't seem to be around anymore, so I can't ask for permission to upload it.
I don't see why you cannot just release an edited esp, since you are not including the scarf resources (nifs and dds) . It is silly when obsession with permissions prevents people from fixing or improving on another modders werke. I believe it is just a problem with item slots conflicting with cloaks and DSR, and changing them in the esp using TEs5Edit. It is like releasing a translated version of a mod, where the only changes are the names in the esp.

According to it, a person might have to edit the nifs as well as the esp to get the items to properly show up on a new body part.

In the case where the author is MIA for over a year like this you can release patches for mods without permission as long as you arent re-distributing assets and you give credit. If you have sent messages to the author and have no response that doesnt mean you cant upload a patch, it does mean you should be ready to take down your file if the author eventually responds, but as long as you have made every effort to contact the author then the onus is on them not you. The first mod I ever released was a patch to a quest mod whose author had been afk for 2 years, its fine, and you would be doing everyone a favour.
Hopefully this mod is not dead yet i just downloaded it, and installed the patch for WIC and cloaks, and yet the mufflers replace my cape. Am im doing something wrong? or the patch just do not work?
