SkyEx - Hearthfire added requires Hearthfire

Hello All! I hope you are enjoying my mod, I just uploaded 3 new files. These are "Lite" versions of the main mod :

SkyEx Your Skyrim Shipping and Storage Solution.

ONLY USE ONE OF THE FILES/ESP

SkyEx - Lite 1.LiteV1 has Carriages, Houses and Merchants, but no Shipping Centre's (Carriage and House Boxes have been removed from the General Goods Stores. (Less Cheaty) Thanks for the tip - Elenear

SkyEx - Lite 1.LiteV2 has Carriages and Houses only No Merchants or Shipping Centre

SkyEx - Lite 1.LiteV3 has ONLY Carriages (based on the original idea I had for this mod) This is probably the most compatible version as it only adds storage boxes to the 5 vanilla Carriages.

I will be adding a Dragonborn update as add-on in the next couple of days, it will add a SkyEx Shipping box to the boat that takes you to Solstheim.

Remember SkyEx is "Your Skyrim Loot Shipping and Storage Solution"

Please also add a HearthFire addon.
      I live in Lakeside Manor.

BTW, I have not tried this mod yet, but it looks super useful... it doesn't support the HearthFire DLC yet, right?

I need to work out a couple of things with Hearthfire since the buildings dont appear until you build them, same with the hearthfire house carriages, and the unmodded versions of the hearthfire carriages just drop you off in the smaller towns like riverwood and dont leave a carriage, but I am toying with roadside mailbox for the hearthfire houses, it would be near the road would that work for you in the mean time?

I didn't even think about that little detail (the houses not existing until they were built)!

I don't really understand what you mean by "the road" (I mostly fast travel to and from my home right now and am cannot picture any nearby roads in my head right now) but wherever that is- whether a temporary solution or permanent- it would need to be close enough to the house so that when you go to pick up your deliveries and you become 'too heavy to run,' you don't have to walk a long distance.

What about near the main work bench outside the house? Is that possible? The other houses get the deliveries at the door right? The workbench is kind of the door. Then again, I dont think the workbench appears until you purchase the lot.

I have no idea if this means anything either (again, haven't tried the mod yet), but at least at Lakeview Manor (the only Hearthfire house I own), you can hire a permanent carriage that stays just beyond your horse stable. I have one. I named him Buckweed (lol, JK).
Again though, I guess he wouldnt exist until hired.

****Just keep in mind walking distances.

The road I was thinking about is near the little mudcrab pond, pretty close to the Pinewatch house. I was thinking also about the Construction bench too, I guess it would not seem too out place near that, as you would not normally go in that area if you did not have hearthfires. I will see what I can do, I am looking at the scripts that control the "buildhouse" function, I just need to piggyback the enable scripts for the building it should not be too hard. give me a few days and I will come up with something nifty (the road is about a block away from the house)

"as you would not normally go in that area if you did not have hearthfires"
Speaking of which (funny story), I once accidentally disabled HF before loading a save file where I had saved standing in what was basically my front yard at LV Manor. Immediately upon game load, I was attacked by a few Chaurus Chitins and something else that I cannot remember. It was a "WTF" moment for me since I didnt realize I had the DLC disabled.

I plan on playing the game tonight, so Ill try to scout out that road (Im curious now). I need to explore the area around my house anyway. I have been there for a while and just recently realized that there was a ship nearby with bandits living on it >_<"

EDIT: OMG! I totally meant to thank you when I was originally writing my message!
THANKS SO MUCH for working on the HF stuff!

Can you add compatible version for popular fast travel mod such as:
      - Better Fast Travel - Carriages and Ships - Overhauled
      or
      - More Cart in Each Big Town
      ?

    This MOD is very good!
I enjoy this MOD & endorse it.
But I think these service cost is too cheap.
If you publish high cost version (100gold? or more) or publish pex resource.
I can enjoy the MOD more balanceful.

Your comment made me decide to have a look at your mods. I think this one would have a place in any game I'm not using the Dev Aveza in at the very least. Awesome idea and much more immersive than the alternatives!

I've been using General stores, but there's been a lot of complaints on how buggy it is, even with a fanmade fixes. The author has since been banned from Nexus for some reason. SkyEx might be what I need.

That kinda sucks that mod was pretty cool when I first started playing as I am a packrat, but I do think it was trying to do TOO much at once. Thank you for the compliment, and I promise that this is pretty bug free and simple.

I did a quick skim and admittedly might have missed it.

I see Breezehome and Solitude mentioned.

What about - Riften Home - Windhelm home - Markarth Home and Winterhold College Mage's Home?

I use all of these as Home Bases - as I travel in a "circle" so to speak around Skyrim to make my "Quests" and such. I do not "Fast Travel" except when I use the Carriage, if I know I have no real Quests between, saw Markarth and Solitude or other points to and from.

Thanks - I really like this idea and awesome that you thought of it.

the Home delivery boxes are at all of the Vanilla homes, There is not one in the Mages Quarter, but there is a SkyEx Shipping Centre in the General Goods Store in Windhelm that gives you access to all three of the different type of shipping boxes.

Downloaded so I can endorse. I'm not in a position to add it to my game right this moment but I'll endorse it so, hopefully, it won't disappear in the churn. This is a truly original, potentially lore compliant addition that needs encouragement.

With the caveat that I haven't installed it, I'd suggest that it not be cheap. Shipping in low tech societies wasn't FedEx efficient

Thank you so much, I was surprised that this had not been done before, When I was working on it with Darkfox127 (helped write the scripts) asked me how much I wanted to charge, and he suggested 100 gold. The original idea was solely based around carriage travel, so I thought how real transportation companies charge, it is a percentage of the base travel charge. Non-modded rates for travel are 20-50 gold, so by making this 20 gold it is line with that, but this is little deceptive (like real airlines are now) as you are charged EACH time you access it, so there is Delivery/Storage fee of 20 gold, and when you arrive at your destination there is an Imperial Transportation Tax of 20 gold also, or if you use the Home delivery it is a Imperial Mail Tax, or if you use the Merchant Shipping, it is a Imperial Commerce Tax. So it may seem cheap at first but if are like me and you add a bunch of items pay the first 20, then realize you want to make room for that Dwemmer Armor you might get, so you open again, (clink) 20 gold more, and when you arrive pay the Tax, (clink) 20 to the Emperor, so even though your carriage travel was 20-50, all of a sudden your luggage just cost you 60-80! HUH? how did that happen? I think it mirrors real life pretty good. Sorry for the long response.

This mod would be even more neat if someone rigged together an official looking mail box and placed them all over Skyrim. Could even implement a time delay system in order to have access to your items elsewhere as if they were 'delivered' to another area, hell, even rig a few courier/mailmen npcs and have them roam across the landscape transferring your items and making 'stops' to other cities to rest at inns n junk. What a simple and neat idea, Im gonna track this in hopes you expand upon it because this mod has hella potential.

One of the ideas I had tossing around in my noodle was how to implement the Hearthire homes in a way that seemed plausible right now in at least my scripting skills go, It is really hard to make the House boxes appear with the building of the house, So I was thinking Roadside Mailboxes, two of the homes have roads that are nearby, and since these houses are more like country houses it would make sense to have roadside mail, I could plop a East Empire small crate on a lamp post pole LOL. Someone did make a Post office mod, that you could send and receive responses to followers and I think other Friendly faction people to but it was pretty limited and I could never get it to work right. It may be pretty easy to get NPC' Mail couriers, to pick up items from a designated container, and even deliver them, but time works weird in the game, slows down and speeds up depending on what Quests you are doing, and it may take an in game week or more to get your items to their location (sounds like the real world). Those are great ideas though. Thanks for tracking

Yeah set it up similar to mailboxes like they did in Fallout New Vegas. I would think this would not be much harder to set up than http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18916/?
Especially considering the sheer number of player created homes that people will want supported. I am tracking at the moment until you get Hearthfires sorted. Thanks for your work!

The time delay shouldnt be much of a problem since you could easily pass it off as being 'immersive', as this mod is named after a variant of FedEx. I look forward to see what you come up with, I really enjoy small mods like this that give more depth to the world.
