In version 3.4.5 nioverride.dll causing crashes. To reproduce this CDT just create simple script which very quickly unequip and equip some item on NPCs. I use this:
    https://mega.nz/file/TJ5wkaaD#ECAc1YHGaxzd_W1CSJv9NqA2ELYtHHzyMyOgUhKzkbw
this mod cause 100% CTD in ~ 20-30sec with nioverride.dll. WITHOUT this dll everything is fine and you can wait at least an hour.

No, it's a virus. Do not download. If you've already downloaded it, trash your PC, because its now a beacon for a military airstrike,

The moment I installed this, instantly having problem, like followers textures suddenly going into hyper space and then vanishing into nothing, leaving an invisible presence with dialogue options. Also some followers were invisible or not present in variuous Inns.

    Uninstalled, all problems solved.

    Nice bug generator here.

I wish this individual was still updating this mod and making it for SE. There's mods on SE that require it but it isn't compatible with the latest SKSE.
I'm going to have to dump some mods that I love

    :(

It's part of RaceMenu and is definitely available in SE.

@markdf - do you know if it is still possible using it as a part of RaceMenu to utilize it once you port mods from Skyrim LE to SSE? I think what cplirby means is there is no individual file for download which is what people are looking for.

I believe it is possible to install loose files to cover what is needed.  For example, you could install SKSE, Plugins, skee64.dll, skee64.ini, and nioverride.pex.  Of course, it is most likely easier to just install RaceMenu.

I tried that and a mod is not recognizing it at all as installed.

i did and it works make sure you have skee.dll, skee.ini and nioverride.pex installed.
my game folder looks like this:

      -SKSE
      -Plugins
      skee64.dll (1.6 MB)
      skee64.ini (5.0 kB)

      -Scripts
      NiOverride.pex (11.4 kB)

Is that the Whole plugin folder from the extracted BSA of Racemenu? I need Nioverride to be used by itself with ECE and a few other mods on SE.

given how long its been since this was updated. no this won't work for AE because of the dll file this mod has, the dll file needs to be updated to match the current version of the game

According to the latest from SE Compatibility Tracking, ...

RaceMenu (preliminary) [SKSE 2.1.5] - includes NiOverride in skee64.dll; face overlays are unstable (eg, decapitation); see also Enhanced Character Edit

So, it would seem there is no longer a need for NIOverride when RaceMenu is installed.
