So what do you think will this mod work with Extra guards??(mod that adds more guards and makes them a bit stronger) if yes this mod perfectly suits me
This mod modifies the templates used for various guards. If the mod adding guards to the game uses the same templates as Skyrim's default guards, then yes, they would be compatible.
This mod is a really great addition but if you could add more versions, in game commands or a menu where you select what level you want the guards to be that would be absolutely perfect for any play style.
This could also enable players a flexible play style so as they progress they can modify the guard levels as they go along if they need to, should they get too strong or too weak, if they are running encounter mods which also scale with the player.
I play at very high difficulty with a lot of difficulty enhancers and immersion mods. So even having guards the same level as me at level 16 (for example) are still too tough for my particular game. In my game setting level 15-20 is considered a 'master' level. Having 'master' level guards can really be immersion breaking which I hope that this mod will help in the future.
If you could also include an option to make all guards level 10 and stay level 10 I would really appreciate that. Because at the moment this mod is of very little use to me and it would make a welcome addition. Good work though!
They are set to level 25 by default as of the last update, if you think 5 additional levels will make much difference, then I suppose I could release an optional, though I'd prefer a larger level margin to avoid placing too many optional files. (Because I'd have to update them all.)
As I too have the Dragonborn DLC, I intend to extend the changes of this mod to Solstheim, however, I'm finding that some guards spawn with a level rage of 10 to 100. Either I missed an entry somewhere, or it's mod related. I'm not in town at the moment, so this will have to wait a few days until I'm able to make it back home.
instead of different versions where you need to update thousands of files maybe try a mcm where the user themselves picks the level they want.
other then that statement Im here searching for a mod that makes guards all high level like 100 or so cause i'm tired of them being one hit by dragons summons, or when I accidently kill them do to walking in front of me during random attacks and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything like that
lol i kill guards all day with daedric armor and 1000+ damage daedric swords but good idea those guards kick your but at level 5 if you get surrounded by even two its game over haha ):
This mod raises the base level of guards significantly, however, they no longer scale with the player. Meaning at level 5, guards will be much more powerful than they would have been by default. At least with this mod, you will eventually surpass them.
That's a good question. It kicked in immediately while I was testing it. However, on my level 106, I noticed that some of the guards were level 100, while others were level 20. I'm not yet sure if this is related to previous saves. It's possible that I simply missed an entry.
guards level with you until level 50 because Bethesda chose a stupid ai for the guards f they were smarter they would be able to kill the player. but at the moment i can kill them with ease. (playing on master), with my mod that makes them more difficult. quite frankly with lots of immersion mods, guards become weak, so they need to be a high level.
Their combat AI seems fine to me. They use power attacks, block, bash, and use ranged weapons on distant targets. They make use of the skills that they have, and can defeat most enemies in the game. Skyrim's combat system is pretty basic, so you can't expect much more of them. The difficulty setting may as well be called 'handicap', because all it does is increases the damage received by the player, and reduce the damage the player deals to the enemy. You could achieve a similar result simply by refraining from refining or enchanting your equipment.
This mod isn't about making guards weaker, the level I chose seemed like a fair middle-ground compared to other NPCs. There are enemies that I feel guards shouldn't be stronger than. The point is to get rid of scaling, because it makes no sense for NPCs to suddenly start getting stronger just because the player is leveling.

Here we have a mod which reflects the cold hard truth of these men; their careers have hit a wall. Specifically, the city wall.

For instance an option to set them to lvl30 instead of 20
Also, if this doesn't cover it, a version for Solstheim guards would be neat as well.
