Azura's Star is a refillable soul gem that only accepts white souls. The Black Star is a refillable soul gem that only accepts black souls. You get one or the other in the quest The Black Star, depending on what choices you make.

Or do you mean does it make a difference with this mod? If so, sorry, I dunno.

    Hi,

Just finished the main Mage Quest and I had a problem with your mod. After getting the Staff of Magnus in Labyrinthian, I couldn't equip it at all. The game keeps telling me "You cannot equip this item". The problem is, I need to equip the staff to get into the college...

So the first thing I thought was I had a mod modifying the staff. So I opened the console and typed "Help Magnus". I saw 2 staves, the one from the original game and the one from your mod. I added the original one, equipped it and completed the main Mage Quest.

I don't know why yours doesn't equip normally or why you have modified the quest to give your staff instead of the original one. As far as I know, if I want to craft the Staff of Magnus with infinite charge, I need the original one so I really don't understand why I had your staff after Labyrinthian?

My guess is the infinite charge Staff of Magnus crafted by the forge works correctly, but the problem is after you get the staff you don't have access to the atronach forge because the Eye of Magnus is blocking the way with a magic barrier. So if I can't use it before I get it in the forge and I can't get to the forge because I need to use it first to get to the forge, I guess I'm pretty much stuck...

Could you please take a look at this?

Peculiar. I checked through the use info and everything is as it should be - I made no edits to the original staff, its container, or the quest. Furthermore, my version of the staff is marked as playable, so even if you got mine somehow, you should be able to equip it.

Is it possible you have another mod that alters the College of Winterhold questline?

You could just do player.additem (insert the item ID here) 1. That would give you the playable version.

Sorry for the delayed replies, all. I'm working on a small update to the mod now.

Are you planing on adding some in game material that will tell you how to use this mods special trait? There are many possible places you could simply leave a book or note.

    DO WANT!
Up until now I've been using a mod that simply makes all unique weapons have unlimited charges. While I'm perfectly fine with that, I'm all for making the game harder so I think I'll install this mod immediately. :3
One question, you said any mod that changes the weapon's stats would be incompatible. Given the way SkyRe and the Reproccer work, would those be incompatible as well?

I don't use SkyRe, so I can only tell you what I think will happen after reading its description. /Most likely/ Reproccer will correctly adjust the new weapons - the IDs of the new weapons are nearly identical to the vanilla ones (I added an "atrfrg" and a number to each one). So, if Reproccer can correctly adjust vanilla weapons, it should adjust mine just fine.

Worst case scenario my new weapons will retain vanilla stats, so you'd notice a slight difference in usage between the vanilla and new weapons. In other words, my mod and SkyRe are compatible, you just might not get the adjusted weapon effects for any reforged weapon. My mod certainly won't cause trouble.

If you try them together, let me know how it turns out. You won't be the only one with that question

Okay, I've gotten the star and gotten to the Forge and I'm having mixed results. It may or mat not be SkyRe but one of my mods seems to make it so I'm always awarded the best version of leveled items, even when using the console. And then when I use the Forge with a leveled item (I used Chillrend and the Nightingale Blade) it gives back the version appropriate to my level. So some further testing is required to see if SkyRe is compatible with this mod, though early results indicate that it is.

Biohazard, that makes sense. There are a couple ways to unlevel items. One is to make all variants identical, which is what the mod you use does. The other way is to edit quests/cells to grant only the highest level version. This second version would be compatible with my mod, but the first one isn't - my mod will return unedited weapons as you've seen.

I'll edit the .esps so that every recipe in the forge returns the highest level version and release it as an optional file. That should cleanly resolve the issue. Stand by.

Edit: The new version is up. Hope it works out for you!

I also play with SkyRe. I downloaded this, put it between the SkyRe files and ReProccer, then ran the reproccer java file, went ingame and the weapon was successfully altered to be on par with the rest of the weapons.

I've started with the Champion's Cudgel ( and stopped there, ha ), and much to my dismay, the infinite charges version couldn't be tempered, but the regular one can! I am unsure wether SkyRe or the unofficial patches did this, whichever the case, ReProccer made one work with the other, but seeing as how the infinite version is completely new, I don't think it can be 'fixed' that easily, seeing as how you said you have put new tempering recipes.

      Puhleez halp!
      *bats eyelashes*

      This isn't working. <_<

Aha! That's on my end, sorry. Didn't put in a temper recipe for the warhammer (as it turns out, neither did Bethesda, so I don't feel so bad). I'll update the mod momentarily.
